Description

This is a hybrid role that requires an average of 2 days per week in a company office.

The company is a global edge-to-cloud business that helps customers connect, protect, analyze and act on their data and applications.

You will be the business owner for product security across a networking portfolio of routers, switches, firewalls and network management solutions.

You will work with Engineering, Product Management, Architecture, Program Management, Compliance and Security teams to meet customer, regulatory and market-access requirements. The work covers Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL), security-by-design, vulnerability governance and new cybersecurity regulations.

Job level is TCP05 in the Engineering function.

Success means better SDL maturity and compliance across product portfolios, a smaller vulnerability backlog and faster remediation, security-led product strategy decisions, and a governance model that scales across product lines.

You will own the security strategy and compliance posture for the company's networking products, turning cybersecurity requirements into products that reach market, pass certification and stay secure.

Responsibilities

  • Set and maintain a product security roadmap that fits business goals and customer needs.
  • Push security-by-design through every stage of product development.
  • Shape product requirements around new threats and market expectations.
  • Rank security investments by risk, customer demand and regulatory need.
  • Lead SDL processes and security gates across development.
  • Work with engineering teams on SAST, SCA, SBOM generation, code signing, threat modelling and vulnerability fixes.
  • Track security metrics, compliance dashboards and readiness reviews.
  • Raise risks early and drive corrective action when security commitments are under threat.
  • Run security readiness reviews with engineering, architecture and executive stakeholders.
  • Align Product Management, Engineering, Security, Program Management and Compliance teams.
  • Set ownership models, RACI structures and execution plans for security work.
  • Report product security status at leadership reviews and customer meetings.
  • Assess product security risks and define mitigation plans.
  • Work with the Product Security Office and engineering groups to set remediation priorities and track commitments against vulnerability response rules.
  • Support incident response and coordinated vulnerability disclosure when needed.
  • Serve as the product security expert for customers, partners and government stakeholders.
  • Explain security capabilities and compliance roadmaps.
  • Support sales, federal programs and key customer deals that need security assurance artifacts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security or a related field.
  • 10+ years in product line management, cybersecurity or compliance.
  • Solid grasp of networking, including routing, switching, security and cloud networking.
  • Working knowledge of SDL practices.
  • Track record of leading cross-functional initiatives across engineering and product teams.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Preferred: experience with Junos OS, networking platforms or security appliances.
  • Preferred: familiarity with NIST frameworks, Zero Trust architectures, SBOM requirements, the Secure Software Development Framework (SSDF) and software supply chain security.
  • Preferred: CISSP, CISM or related certifications.

Conditions

Hybrid setup with an average of 2 days per week in a company office.

The company is an equal opportunity employer that selects on qualifications, merit and business need, and it considers qualified applicants with criminal histories as the law requires.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive health and wellbeing benefits covering physical, financial and emotional wellbeing.
  • Development programs to help you become a subject expert in your field or move into another division.
  • A workplace that values varied backgrounds and offers flexibility to manage work and personal needs.
