Description

The company designs, manufactures and assembles advanced systems for demanding industries, using an integrated engineering and manufacturing platform that turns complex designs into production-ready parts. It is a qualified Tier 1 supplier to global automotive OEMs and supports leading U.S. aerospace and defense companies.

The role is a dedicated product manager for Design and Engineering Systems (DES). It brings together scattered request handling, roadmap planning and user advocacy, takes over product ownership, aligns the software roadmap with what users actually need, and drives adoption and efficiency across the company IPT organization.

Responsibilities

  • Triage and rank incoming DES requests and demands from stakeholders.
  • Shape the DES software roadmap around user needs, technical limits and strategic goals.
  • Build, organize and keep up to date the documentation, training and promotional materials for current DES products.
  • Combine feedback from end users with input from their managers to guide roadmap and release choices.
  • Own external release messaging and the plan for driving adoption.
  • Work with PIPT, DES developers and cross-functional partners to remove fragmented product management work.
  • Shield developers from interruptions by taking on product, documentation and communication tasks.

Requirements

  • Ability to legally access information and technology covered by US export controls.
  • A master's or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • 10+ years as a product manager for CAE, engineering software or interactive desktop applications.
  • Proven record of managing software roadmaps across complex technical environments with many stakeholders.
  • Strong written and spoken communication with users, managers and cross-functional partners.
  • Experience creating and maintaining documentation, training programs and user-education content.
  • Ability to work in an export-controlled environment under US EAR, where applicable.
  • Preferred: background in computational design, desktop CAE, PLM or additive-manufacturing software; familiarity with Siemens NX and Teamcenter is preferred.
  • Preferred: experience with laser powder-bed fusion or similar production systems.
  • Preferred: history of driving adoption and reducing developer interruptions in engineering organizations.

Conditions

Pay depends on job level. This role will consider candidates at levels E07 to E09, assessed through the interview process.

E06 / Staff Engineer: $166,990 to $204,090.

E07 / Principal Engineer: $171,450 to $235,740.

Overall range: $166,990 to $235,740 USD.

The position is onsite.

Benefits

  • A total pay package with a competitive salary, an equity plan and discretionary results-based incentive bonuses.
  • Paid vacation, sick time and company holidays, including a year-end shutdown, plus paid parental leave.
  • Health and wellness coverage with HMO and Premium PPO options, company-paid life insurance, and short- and long-term disability cover.
  • Reimbursement for learning and development initiatives to build your skills.
  • A collaborative, high-performing team at a fast-moving, mission-driven company that is modernizing manufacturing and combining people and technology to shrink its environmental footprint.
