The team works on total systems, with analysis at every stage from concept through disposal, including planning, integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness.

This role is on the ground system program. You will support the senior technical authority who runs the cybersecurity work day to day, working directly with the Lead and Deputy Lead Cyber Systems Engineer.

The work is mission critical and time sensitive, with a complex set of stakeholders and tight delivery windows.

Responsibilities

  • Organise the design, build, verification and documentation of NIST RMF 800-53 controls and ASD STIG requirements for software and hardware, tracing technical specifications and program policy documents.

  • Work with development, test and integration teams to explain cyber requirements, confirm they are met, push remediation, and prepare accreditation artifacts.
  • Build DevSecOps and software assurance practices into existing CI/CD pipelines, and oversee the secure integration of COTS and FOSS products.
  • Produce and update security artifacts on a compressed schedule, and give program leadership concise status briefings.
  • Turn customer requirements into hardware and software specifications through functional and timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition.
  • Get up to speed quickly, handle a complex stakeholder environment, keep to the highest security standards, and deliver results within a tight window.

Requirements

  • Hold 5 years of experience with a bachelor's degree, 3 years with a master's degree, or 1 year with a PhD.
  • Hold a SECRET clearance when you apply.
  • Be comfortable working in DOORS.
  • Have experience developing requirements, including writing requirement object text and VCRM fields.
  • Have experience reviewing software and software assurance, including checking application and system logs for content.
  • Have experience reviewing NIST RMF controls.
  • Have experience presenting to technical stakeholders.
  • Preferred: hold a TS/SCI clearance.
