Pre-Sales Solution Architect

Description

The company handles records and information management, digital transformation, data centers, asset lifecycle management, and fine art storage, handling and logistics. It works with 225,000 customers worldwide to protect their data and artifacts in socially responsible ways.

This is a sales-side technical role supporting enterprise cloud and AI deals for the team's document processing platform. You will act as the technical lead on deals, working closely with sales on customer engagements, from discovery through to a technical win.

The team is small and moves quickly, with the backing of a large industry leader.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery calls, architecture reviews and workshops with customer engineers and technical buyers, working alongside sales.
• Build and present hands-on proofs of concept and pilots that test solution fit, extraction accuracy and non-functional requirements such as p95 latency, throughput and security against the customer's benchmarks.
• Give technical demos, walk-throughs and pitches that remove deployment blockers for customers and show the platform's advantages over alternatives.
• Design pre-sales prototypes of custom enterprise use cases, covering scalability, security, high availability, disaster recovery and multi-tenant isolation.
• Build automated ingestion pipelines, custom REST and GraphQL API connections and intelligent document processing workflows that run reliably at scale.
• Configure and tune machine learning models, Document AI extraction pipelines and human-in-the-loop validation during evaluations to show speed and accuracy.
• Produce version-controlled code, reusable integration patterns and standard solution blueprints that support statements of work and a smooth handover to post-sales.
• Work directly with customer developers and system integrator teams during evaluations, advising on cloud migration patterns and platform practice.
• Pass real-world edge cases, model performance data and builder feedback to R&D and core engineering to shape future platform features.
• You will be measured on technical win rate, the conversion of PoCs and pilots into live deployments, the quality and speed of PoCs, blueprints and prototypes, and the field feedback you contribute to the product roadmap.

Requirements

• 5+ years in solutions architecture, pre-sales engineering, data engineering or technical consulting on enterprise cloud platforms.
• A record of running discovery, delivering PoCs that convert, and winning technical selection in competitive deals.
• Hands-on skill writing clean, demo-quality code and scripts in Python, Bash and SQL, plus REST and GraphQL API integrations for prototypes and automation.
• Solid experience with GCP or Azure infrastructure, MongoDB and PostgreSQL, and cloud-native serverless architectures.
• Practical knowledge of document classification, OCR and ICR extraction, schema design, model evaluation and fine-tuning.
• A startup mindset: you act quickly, solve problems creatively and can debug complex deployment issues live with customers.

Conditions

Fully remote.

Travel of 20% to 30%, varying with customer needs.

Salary range of $107,500.00 to $143,300.00.

The starting salary may differ depending on several factors. Where state, municipal, provincial, territorial or other legal minimum wages are higher than the federal minimum wage, the higher rate applies.
