Description

The company gives agribusinesses, energy firms and weather-exposed industries decision-grade insights from its data and analytics platform, helping them manage supply chains, market swings and infrastructure risk.

The company is growing and widening its international reach, backed by strong finances and years of industry trust. Its AI-driven products are used by large enterprises facing operational limits and new market openings.

This is a senior sales engineering role focused on agriculture. You will support complex enterprise software sales and help grow the Agriculture business.

You will work with executives, commercial leads and technical staff at grain companies, co-ops, ag retailers, input makers and other agribusinesses. Together you will pinpoint business problems, shape solution plans and show how the company's agriculture technology and market intelligence deliver value.

Agribusinesses deal with volatile prices and basis, weather, logistics limits and changing sustainability rules. You will help customers tackle these through the company Ag Hub platform, including Grain Intelligence, Grain Discovery and Farm Intelligence, linking data, analytics and technology to measurable results.

The role suits someone with commercial judgment, consultative discovery skills, technical depth and strong storytelling. You will act as a trusted advisor, guiding customers through complex purchase decisions and building confidence from selection through rollout and adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Run executive and operational discovery sessions with merchandising, origination, agronomy, sales and sustainability leaders to learn their processes, challenges, priorities, risks, success measures, goals and the cost of doing nothing.
  • Turn customer needs into full solution plans that match Ag Hub capabilities, business priorities and realistic rollout and adoption paths.
  • Present the Agriculture platform and find cross-sell chances across Grain Intelligence, Grain Discovery and Farm Intelligence.
  • Lead solution mapping, discovery workshops, tailored demos, pilots, technical checks and responses to RFIs, RFPs and other RFx requests.
  • Explain business value and ROI, such as origination growth, margin protection, grower engagement and retention, sales productivity and readiness for sustainability programs.
  • Give clear presentations and value-based recommendations to executive, operational and technical audiences, turning complex data, analytics and market intelligence into practical outcomes.
  • Work closely with Account Executives through long, multi-stakeholder sales cycles to win new business and expand existing accounts.
  • Work with Product Management, Product Marketing, Engineering, Professional Services and Customer Success to match recommendations to product capabilities and customer expectations.
  • Support competitive evaluations, flag product gaps and implementation risks, and contribute technical and business input to proposals and pricing talks.
  • Hand off smoothly from sales to delivery and adoption, making sure stakeholders understand what the solution does, what implementation involves and what results to expect.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with grain buyers, co-ops, ag retailers, input manufacturers and other agribusiness customers, and share insights that inform product direction and Agriculture growth.

Requirements

  • You have at least 5 years in sales engineering, solution consulting, presales or technical consulting for enterprise software.
  • You have led executive-level discovery, business-process talks and complex sales with several stakeholders.
  • You present well and tell a clear story, can challenge customer assumptions, teach for value and tie insights to measurable outcomes.
  • You have worked with enterprise SaaS, analytics, business or market intelligence, or decision-support products.
  • You collaborate across sales, product, engineering and delivery to support complex deals.
  • You have strong commercial judgment and can influence stakeholders without formal authority in fast-moving enterprise settings.
  • You sell by focusing on customer outcomes and can weigh their goals against realistic implementation and adoption limits.
  • You communicate and build relationships well with executives, merchandisers, originators and sales teams.
  • You discover problems and solve them well, stay curious about technology, and can work through complex customer organizations and requirements.
  • Nice to have: experience in grain merchandising or origination, co-ops, ag retail, crop inputs, ethanol and renewable fuels, feed or food processing.
  • Nice to have: familiarity with grain markets, including futures, cash bids, basis and hedging.
  • Nice to have: understanding of grower engagement, digital contracting, ag retail sales and market share analysis.
  • Nice to have: knowledge of sustainability and traceability programs, including low-carbon-intensity grain initiatives.
  • Nice to have: experience with weather and agronomic data.
  • Nice to have: experience with market data and analytics platforms, CRM systems, grain accounting and ERP integrations, APIs, cloud or SaaS platforms, or data analytics.
  • Nice to have: understanding of how growers, co-ops, merchandising teams, agronomy operations and agribusiness executives make operational and commercial decisions.
