Description

Platform Engineer on the Endpoint Engineering team within Digital Workplace.

The team treats Windows and Mac endpoints like products, building, securing and delivering them through code, automation and repeatable pipelines.

You sit between IT and software engineering, using scripts, automation, version control and CI/CD to keep endpoints secure, dependable and compliant.

You'll build software engineering skills alongside senior engineers in a collaborative, learning-focused team.

You'll work with Information Security, Identity and Access Management, Infrastructure, Site Reliability Engineering, Service Desk and Productivity Apps teams.

The company is an online financial marketplace where consumers compare offers for personal loans, mortgages, credit cards and insurance. It was founded in 1996.

Strong fits think of the endpoint as a product with the employee as the customer, look for tasks to automate, investigate problems down to root causes, stay open to feedback, own their work, document carefully and keep learning.

Responsibilities

  • Keep Microsoft Intune, Iru and ManageEngine Endpoint Central running well, troubleshooting them while supporting Windows, macOS, iOS and Android devices.
  • Write and maintain PowerShell and Python scripts and API integrations that cut manual work and make endpoint operations more consistent.
  • Help run CI/CD pipelines that validate, package, test and deploy apps, scripts and policies through test and pilot rings into production.
  • Put in place and maintain security baselines, encryption, EDR, Conditional Access and device compliance policies with Information Security.
  • Monitor endpoint health, patching and compliance, keep dashboards and alerts up to date, troubleshoot issues, and support incident response and root cause analysis.
  • Keep endpoint configurations in Git as code, take part in code reviews, test changes before wide rollout, and write documentation for reliable operations.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience supporting enterprise endpoints on Windows and macOS.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune and a macOS MDM platform such as Iru, Jamf or a similar solution.
  • Experience writing automation scripts. PowerShell is required, plus some experience in Python or another general-purpose programming language.
  • Working knowledge of Git, including commits, branches and pull request workflows.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and pipelines, such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
  • Experience with REST APIs, ideally Microsoft Graph, and an understanding of REST and JSON integrations.
  • Experience packaging and deploying applications to managed endpoints.
  • Understanding of Entra ID, Conditional Access, device compliance, endpoint security baselines, disk encryption and EDR solutions such as Microsoft Defender.
  • Experience administering and troubleshooting Windows 10/11 and macOS, with familiarity in iOS and Android device management.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills, especially for endpoint, enrollment and policy issues.
  • Clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
