Description

The company is a market research and analytics firm for the disruptive economy. It recently raised $475M from The Carlyle Group at a valuation of over $1B.

Its proprietary technology analyzes billions of alternative data points each day to surface insights across software, AI, cloud, e-commerce, ridesharing, and payments.

Clients include some of the world's top investment funds and Fortune 500 companies. They rely on the data and research teams for accurate, timely, deeply contextualized analysis, from sourcing datasets to expert narrative framing.

Offices are in the US, APAC, and India. Inc. named the company a Best Workplace for three consecutive years.

This is a new role to build the company's SEO and AEO program from the ground up. Buyers increasingly get answers from search engines and AI assistants before they contact a vendor, and the goal is for prospects to find the company, engage with its content, and reach out to talk to sales.

You will work with the YipitAgent team on content and with marketing, product, and sales on turning organic traffic into pipeline. The role comes with data, tooling, and support to move quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Own SEO and AEO strategy across the organization, from technical foundations and on-page work to how content is surfaced and cited by AI answer engines.
  • Map the keywords, queries, and questions prospects ask at each stage of the buyer journey, and find where the company can be the definitive answer.
  • Turn that map into a prioritized content roadmap and detailed briefs covering structure, target queries, entities, and the proof points that make a piece authoritative.
  • Coordinate content production with the YipitAgent team and own verification and quality review before anything goes live.
  • Build and maintain a reporting system tracking content velocity, non-branded organic sessions, AI-sourced sessions and visibility, AI citation share, organic conversion rate, and organic-sourced pipeline.
  • Run a disciplined refresh program that updates, consolidates, or retires pages based on performance data.
  • Build and manage the company's presence on third-party platforms that shape both buyers and AI models, such as Reddit, Quora, Crunchbase, G2, and industry directories.
  • Work with PR on a citation strategy so the company's proprietary data is what publishers, analysts, and AI systems reference.
  • Implement structured data, schema, internal linking, and technical SEO with web and engineering teams.
  • Run regular experiments on titles, formats, structure, and distribution.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of hands-on experience in SEO, content marketing, or organic growth, ideally at a B2B SaaS or data company, with measurable outcomes such as organic traffic, rankings, or organic-sourced pipeline.
  • Direct experience with AEO, generative engine optimization, or AI search visibility is required.
  • Fluency in the modern SEO toolkit and active use of AI visibility and citation tracking tools.
  • Ability to think in questions and answers, and to build a buyer-journey map linking what people ask to what to publish.
  • Skill in writing clear, specific content briefs, with a sharp eye for what makes content authoritative rather than just optimized.
  • Comfort running quick, scrappy experiments and learning from failed tests, and a habit of trying new tools and channels.
  • Solid technical SEO knowledge, including crawlability, indexation, site structure, Core Web Vitals, and structured data, and the ability to work well with engineers.
  • A builder who enjoys creating systems and processes from scratch and keeps up with how search engines and LLMs discover and cite content.
  • Ability to work across content, product, design, and sales and to communicate priorities, results, and tradeoffs clearly.

Conditions

Base salary range is $108K-123K per year. Final pay depends on experience, skills, knowledge, and internal team benchmarks.

The role may be fully remote within the United States, or based in NYC or one of the office hubs. Income may be subject to New York State tax withholding depending on where the work is performed.

Equal employment opportunity applies regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, marital status, disability, gender, gender identity or expression, or veteran status.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive benefits, perks, and equity are included in the package.
  • Flexible work hours and flexible vacation.
  • 401K with a generous match, parental leave, team events, a wellness budget, and learning reimbursement.
  • Growth is based on the impact you make rather than tenure, with an emphasis on ownership, respect, and trust.
