Oracle Database Administrator

The role is a Quadro position under the Italian National Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Metalworking Industry.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer the database backbone of the company's technology infrastructure.
• Shape the base definition, structure and documentation of the system to support long-term business operations.
• Configure, install and maintain database management systems so they run at peak performance.
• Manage user access and put in place policies and procedures that protect data from unauthorised access and external threats.
• Carry out capacity planning and growth projections based on usage, so the system can scale with business needs.
• Work closely with several teams to coordinate database project plans that support organisational goals.
• Propose and implement enhancements that improve system performance and reliability, supporting world-class service to customers.
• Build strong backup and recovery plans so the system stays protected if a failure occurs.
• Use your technical knowledge to help end users and application developers solve complex database problems.

Requirements

• Required: experience with Oracle DB implementation and management, SQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, DBA migration and modernisation, vulnerability management, Exadata and GoldenGate.
• Preferred: experience managing public and private cloud, especially migrating workloads from on-premises to cloud.

Conditions

The role is governed by the Italian National Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Metalworking Industry (CCNL Metalmeccanici), classified as Quadro.

The employment contract may be permanent (contratto a tempo indeterminato).

The salary range in Italy is €49.530,00 to €89.180,00 for a full-time schedule at the time of posting. The exact level and pay within the range depend on factors such as geographical tier, job-related skills, education and experience.

For part-time roles, pay is adjusted accordingly.
