Description

The company builds identity management and data protection software that is embedded in payment cards, SIM cards, travel passes, authentication tokens, ePassports, eID and eHealth cards and eDriving licenses, serving government agencies, banks and mobile services and IoT customers.

The company has over 400 employees in the Czech Republic from 45 nationalities across 15 teams, and English is the official working language.

You will join the Observability team to design, build and keep improving the O11Y platform, working hands on and strategically with architects, global service delivery and product teams to set an observability roadmap and carry it out.

Responsibilities

  • Review the current observability platform, find gaps, and guide the team in improving monitoring, logging, tracing and alerting.
  • Design and optimise observability solutions that give deep insight into the health of systems and services.
  • Help teams build clear, useful and actionable dashboards that improve visibility.
  • Automate monitoring and alerting, including enrichment, and apply ML-based anomaly detection where it fits.
  • Work closely with ICO and product development teams so system and service performance stays visible end to end.
  • Work with key stakeholders to build a single observability strategy that matches business and operational goals.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional experience, part of it focused on observability.
  • Excellent hands-on experience with monitoring, logging and tracing tools such as Prometheus, VictoriaMetrics, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, OpenTelemetry, the ELK Stack or similar.
  • Experience storing high volumes of structured and unstructured data.
  • A strong technical background, with up-to-date skills and readiness to get hands on when needed.
  • Excellent knowledge of Linux and of scripting in Bash, Python and Golang.
  • Excellent knowledge of administering cloud and on-premise systems.
  • Solid understanding of DevOps principles.
  • A strong team player who keeps business urgency in view.
  • Able to stay organised while juggling several tasks at once.
  • A self-starter.
  • Outstanding collaboration, communication and documentation skills, with a proven record of working across functions.
  • BS or MS in computer science, engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

Conditions

The company works with respect, trust, collaboration and passion, and offers a supportive culture.

The company's mobility policy lets employees move between countries and fields to develop their careers, with flexibility valued in how work gets done.
