Description

The company is a global leader in materials science and engineering. Its solutions form the base of nearly every new semiconductor chip and advanced display worldwide.

The equipment it builds and services supports AI and speeds the release of next-generation chips.

This role leads day-to-day field readiness work, making sure field service teams can support new product introductions (NPI) and technology ramps.

You will coordinate training, field service capacity, skill development, technical documentation and spare parts so every key support element is ready before a release or ramp milestone.

You will work with Global Product Support, the Strategic Programs Office, service business units, spares planning, training and technical publications to spot gaps early and act before customer demand arrives.

The role calls for broad knowledge from education and hands-on experience. You will apply established project methods across several stakeholder groups, handle moderate-scope assignments and escalate project risks to program leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Set readiness targets, milestones and sign-off criteria for each assigned product ramp or NPI, and start preparatory work such as forecast review, resource demand planning, and training and documentation planning when forecast notice arrives, not at shipment, so install runs smoothly.
  • Plan training readiness for new products, upgrades and technology releases. Make sure courses, materials and certification paths are ready and match engineering releases, and track training completion and certification status.
  • Estimate current and future customer engineer (CE) needs from business forecasts and customer demand. Maintain capacity models and headcount gap analyses, and work with management on hiring, onboarding and deployment.
  • Track skill levels and gaps for new technologies and products. Support development plans, certification programs and readiness scorecards that broaden workforce flexibility.
  • Make sure service procedures, troubleshooting guides, maintenance and installation documents and knowledge base articles are released before ramp. Run documentation readiness reviews and checklists.
  • With Regional Planning and Global Product Support, set spare parts requirements, recommended and targeted stock levels and stocking strategies, and monitor spares readiness.
  • Organize readiness reviews and governance meetings. Keep status visible in dashboards and trackers, escalate risks to owners with mitigation plans, and prepare readiness reports for leadership.
  • Document readiness work and pass required information to other functions. Follow company policies on confidentiality, data privacy and safety.
  • Gather post-install feedback on training gaps, documentation issues and execution problems, and fold lessons learned into standard readiness processes for the next cycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics management, operations management, engineering, industrial engineering, computer science or a related field.
  • Expanded conceptual knowledge in your own discipline, with capabilities that keep growing.
  • Understanding of key business drivers, applied to your own work.
  • No supervisory role, but you give informal guidance to newer team members.
  • Solve problems in straightforward situations by weighing possible solutions against technical experience, judgment and precedent.
  • Affect the quality of your own work and your team's work while staying within guidelines and policies.
  • Explain complex information clearly in straightforward situations.
  • Physical demands may include standing for long periods, walking, working in tight spaces, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, reaching, lifting, distinguishing colors, working in a noisy environment that may be hard for those sensitive to noise, and using hand and power tools.
  • Clean room work may require personal protective equipment such as coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirators, chemical aprons and face shields.

Conditions

Full-time, regular position with travel about 25% of the time.

Based in Santa Clara, CA. Relocation eligible.

Salary range $78,000.00 to $107,500.00, set by location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience and internal equity with current team members.

For sales roles, the posted range is Target Total Cash (TTC), meaning base salary plus target bonus at 100% goal achievement.

Benefits

  • A comprehensive benefits package.
  • Possible participation in a bonus program and a stock award program, where applicable.
  • A supportive culture that encourages you to learn, grow your career and take on challenges.
  • Programs that support personal and professional growth and wellbeing at work and at home.
