Middle+ Project Manager (Remote, Contract)

Description

This is a contract role for a Middle+ project manager who works remotely.

The role covers projects across several departments and works with both business and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Run projects from start to finish and coordinate several at once across departments, keeping them on target for their goals, scope, schedule and cost.
• Plan each project yourself, covering solution design, budget, staffing and risk.
• Study workflows and business processes, spot where they can be improved, and turn those findings into clear project requirements.
• Improve business processes through research, process mapping, data analysis and gap analysis.
• Keep stakeholders involved from start to finish: clarify needs, share progress, present results and set realistic expectations.
• Direct cross-functional business and technical teams on their scope, priorities and backlog.
• Lead rollout and change management so stakeholders stay engaged and adoption goes smoothly.
• Oversee how business systems, processes and technology solutions fit together.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of project management experience, including projects taken from the first request through to implementation.
• Experience in a product company or startup, working with internal stakeholders and users.
• Experience managing digital products, SaaS, technology or AI-related projects.
• Experience with AI products, AI solutions or AI-enabled business processes.
• Hands-on record of improving business workflows and delivering results beyond development work and standard SDLC processes.
• English at Upper-Intermediate level or higher.
• A plus: background in business analysis or product management.
• A plus: working knowledge of no-code or low-code tools such as n8n, Zapier, Make, Bubble or Bolt.
