MEMS Production Software Engineer

The company makes MEMS-based timing devices, which are replacing quartz parts in demanding systems. Its products are used in more than 400 applications, including AI datacenters, automated driving, industrial and humanoid robots, wearables and IoT, and more than 4 billion devices have shipped.

The team is hiring a Production Software Engineer to build and improve the software that runs manufacturing. You will work alongside production staff to fix software problems on the floor as they happen, build tools for the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and production planning platforms, and shorten test program cycle times. The role suits an engineer who writes solid software and likes hands-on problem solving in a busy production setting.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot software problems on the production floor in real time, keeping downtime low and getting manufacturing back on track quickly.
• Build and roll out new MES features that improve production tracking, automate workflows and make operations more efficient.
• Write and maintain applications for production automation and planning, such as scheduling tools, capacity planning modules and resource management systems.
• Review test programs to cut cycle time and raise throughput without lowering product quality.
• Write technical documentation for your tools and systems, and train production staff so they can adopt the new tools effectively.

Requirements

• A BS, MS or PhD in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or a closely related technical field.
• At least 5 years of software engineering experience, ideally in manufacturing or production.
• Skill in languages such as Python, C, MATLAB, LabVIEW or C++ for building applications and automation.
• Experience working with SQL databases and data management systems.
• Knowledge of debugging tools, Git version control and common development methods.
• A record of building and deploying software tools in industrial settings.
• Experience fixing software faults under time pressure on a production line.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, production workflows and quality standards.
• Plus: familiarity with MEMS fabrication processes.
• Plus: experience with wafer sort.

Conditions

Pay is set from factors including location, experience, education and training, within a range of $124,920 to $171,770 USD.

The role is eligible for a quarterly bonus linked to innovation goals, on top of base salary.
