Description

The company is a luxury group with several Houses in jewelry, watches and high-end accessories. Each House keeps its own style, quality and craft tradition, while the group also designs new products through ongoing creative work.

The role sits within the group technology product area for operations and services, in the manufacturing operations domain. That scope covers the value chain processes for making goods: production execution, maintenance management, quality management and logistics execution.

The group's digital work rests on three pillars. First, front-end and back-end applications are decoupled through an integration layer built on APIs and event-driven architecture, so each House controls its own user interface. Second, the back-end systems are chosen from the best available options, including SAP PP, SAP EWM, Rhize MES, MaintainX CMMS, Qualaxy and Elistat, and are used with vendor updates rather than custom builds. Third, real-time, data-driven operations use industrial IoT for machine connectivity, with harmonized data conversion based on the ISA-95 concept, so all plant data reaches one unified namespace.

You will analyze, design, deploy and support the data models and data flows for all manufacturing operations applications, based on ISA-95. The models must be scalable, secure, efficient and aligned with business goals and regulation. You will deliver application improvements following the product owner's roadmap and the architects' guidelines, and work with business analysts and solution and software engineers to turn business needs into sound data solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the overall data architecture strategy, standards and guidelines, following ISA-95 and built on a GraphQL database.
  • Design and build scalable, high-performance data models.
  • Support and guide solution engineers as they extend the data model.
  • Set and enforce data governance policies, procedures and standards covering quality, integrity, security and compliance.
  • Build data quality checks and validation processes that keep data highly accurate.

Requirements

  • A master's degree or engineering degree in information technology, with a strong focus on industrial or mechanical engineering, or data science.
  • 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, database design or a similar role, ideally with consulting work, and with exposure to industrial production environments.
  • Hands-on experience with the ISA-95 standard and GraphQL databases.
  • A collaborative leadership style and a coaching approach.
  • A solid understanding of architecture design principles and integration technologies such as APIs.
  • A good understanding of software development and customization in Agile and Scrum.
  • Strong ability to explain technical information clearly to management, peers and industry partners.
  • Fluent English.
