  • Assign engineering tasks, set the technical approach and give technical feedback to engineers doing operations analysis work.
  • Work with programs to plan staffing and de-staffing for your section and move people between programs.
  • Manage performance by writing and delivering evaluations, running the salary review, and guiding development and mentoring.
  • Handle special assignments and data calls for the homeroom.
  • Enforce policies on timecards, safety, security, property, training and configuration control.

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in a STEM field plus 9 years of related engineering experience, or a master's in STEM plus 7 years, or a PhD in STEM plus 5 years.
  • Have run analysis or trade studies in operations analysis, mission analysis, mission effectiveness, survivability analysis or system simulation.
  • Have experience with project planning and cost, schedule and performance control, including Earned Value and performance measurement baselines.
  • Be briefed onto and actively support the relevant program's statement of work.
  • Sit in a functional homeroom within the systems engineering directorate today.
  • Have led a team or project.
  • Hold a current, in-scope Top Secret clearance issued under DoD rules.
  • Be able to obtain and keep initial Special Program Access (SAP/PAR) before you start, within a timeframe the company sets to meet its needs.
  • Preferred: Have led, collaborated with and developed cross-functional teams of mixed skill levels on complex technical projects across some or all stages of the engineering lifecycle.
  • Preferred: Have Cost Account Management experience.
  • Preferred: Show strong organizational and interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication.
  • Preferred: Have prior functional management experience, including mentoring, coaching and resolving staff and resource issues.
