Description

The company wants a Market Community Engagement Lead to build relationships based on trust, grow community impact, and raise brand visibility across the Northeast, covering Virginia, Washington DC, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania.

You would be the main local expert on the ground, finding out what communities need, running programs inside and outside the Cafés, and linking company-wide community investments to experiences in your market.

You would work within the company's central Signature Experiences program engine alongside local Café leaders, Retail Marketing, Community Impact & Investment (CII), and other strategy teams. The goal is to turn Cafés into community hubs that build brand awareness and support financial well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the local market expert by building detailed neighborhood profiles and gathering local insights that inform the central Market Programming design engine.
  • Design and run repeatable, high-impact experiences and local campaigns across the Northeast.
  • Work with CII, Global Policy Affairs, and the Market Presidents Network (MPN) to coordinate local portfolios, follow grant partnerships, and plan regional program expansion.
  • Act as the hands-on arm for community investments by bringing vetted non-profit partners and grantees into Café programs and local events.
  • Work side by side with Café Coaches, Market Executives, and Café teams. Prepare readiness plans and tools so Café Ambassadors can carry out experiences smoothly.
  • Review local event proposals and guide them through the Well Managed Risk Review process. Manage local event budgets, third-party vendor contracts, purchase orders, and invoices in line with corporate standards.
  • Build trust with local civic, business, and non-profit organizations. Bring new strategic relationships and sponsorships to the market through compelling brand storytelling.
  • Support strategic execution by finding hyper-local community needs and passing those insights to the Market Programming team.
  • Adapt national brand activations and product campaigns to local markets through structured experiences in and outside Cafés.
  • Roll out broad financial health offerings, such as Money & Life, alongside hyper-local community programs in target markets.
  • Serve as the liaison for executing experiential programming.

Requirements

  • Live in the DC, Virginia, or Pennsylvania metro area, or be willing to relocate there.
  • Be able to travel up to 50% regionally and nationally.
  • Basic qualifications: a Bachelor's Degree or military experience.
  • Basic qualifications: at least 3 years of project or process management experience.
  • Basic qualifications: at least 2 years of business development or community engagement experience.
  • Preferred qualifications: 4+ years of project, process, or event management experience.
  • Preferred qualifications: 5+ years in a customer-facing or community-focused setting such as Retail, Hospitality, Corporate Responsibility, or Non-Profit management.
  • Preferred qualifications: proven success in complex, matrixed stakeholder environments with cross-functional pod structures.
  • Preferred qualifications: experience managing event budgets, vendor contracts, and compliance or risk protocols.
