Description

This Manager role sits in the Cloud, Data & AI team within the Advisory line of service, under the Emerging Technologies specialism.

You bring deep knowledge of Microsoft platforms, especially Azure and data platforms, and of how they connect with multi-vendor tools such as master data management, BI, analytics and AI, backed by data architecture experience.

Responsibilities

  • Map whole systems to show how their parts link and affect each other.
  • Advise clients on their data architecture, assessing efficiency, integration, cost, feasibility and technical fit.
  • Own projects from start to finish, covering planning, budget, delivery and close-out.
  • Work with team leads so quality, timelines and deliverables are owned jointly.
  • Keep building skills beyond your core area and track new technologies and market demand.
  • Mentor colleagues by using work reviews to deepen their expertise.
  • Handle conflicts and problems, including hard conversations with clients, team members and other stakeholders, escalating when needed.
  • Coach and upskill teammates to support the team's growth and lasting success.

Requirements

  • Strong, proven hands-on knowledge of Azure and the Microsoft stack, including Fabric.
  • Advanced certifications, for example Azure Administrator, Solution Architect or Fabric Engineer.
  • Microsoft certification already earned: AZ-305 or DP-600/DP-700.
  • Leadership and team development experience.
  • Deep expertise in Azure and Microsoft technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A university degree in business informatics, computer science, physics, mathematics or any engineering discipline is preferred.
  • More than 7 years in data engineering, analytics or data science, with consulting experience a plus.
  • Experience sourcing, preparing and delivering end-to-end data architecture or platform solutions for internal or external clients.
  • Excellent English communication. German is preferred but not required.
