The company is a global provider of thermal management, mission-critical building systems, energy efficiency, and decarbonization. It helps customers use energy more productively and cut carbon emissions, and it serves fast-growing sectors such as data centers, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, advanced manufacturing, and higher education.

The company has been in business for more than 140 years and builds smarter, safer buildings through fire and security solutions that protect people, property, and operations.

Title: Security & Fire Lead Systems Specialist PM

You will be the on-site lead for assigned fire/security projects, taking each one from planning to closeout. That covers hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, and system and network commissioning. You will weigh customer satisfaction against project financial results, coordinate subcontractors and internal staff, and keep the work safe, ethical, and code-compliant.

The team values safety, accountability, and professional service.

Responsibilities

  • Lead assigned fire/security projects from planning through closeout, keeping scope, schedule, quality, and financial goals on track.
  • Manage project costs, billings, collections, profitability, and cash flow while keeping customer relationships strong.
  • Pursue change orders actively, and assess how client bulletins, field directives, and schedule changes affect project scope.
  • Perform or delegate hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, commissioning, and closeout tasks as needed.
  • Direct the work of subcontractors, technicians, designers, and administrators as required.
  • Oversee material selection, ordering, budget, and delivery schedules for your projects.
  • Communicate with customers in every project phase, and represent the company professionally to contractors, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Make sure warranty work is completed properly at substantial completion and throughout the warranty period.
  • Issue accurate project billings on time, and provide monthly forecasts of revenue, cost, and gross margin.
  • Support site-specific owner/operator training, and make sure documentation, manuals, and closeout materials are delivered.
  • Attend job progress meetings as required, and keep management informed about status, risks, and changes.
  • Make sure work meets state, local, and federal requirements, safety standards, and applicable fire and security codes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Use established standards for installation hardware design and software programming, and give customers and subcontractors clear details on how each design works and operates.
  • Validate full system functionality by supporting loading, device verification, commissioning, and troubleshooting with subcontractors and other trades.
  • Keep as-built, commissioning, and closeout records accurate, complete, and usable.
  • Explain technical and business issues clearly, including progress, billing status, revenue forecasts, and warranty requirements.
  • Own outcomes with accountability and integrity, keeping execution disciplined, ethical, and compliant from start to finish.
  • Stay close to the work by understanding customer needs, site conditions, contract scope, and the practical effect of field changes before deciding.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, technicians, designers, administrators, and management around shared project goals.
  • Build lasting working relationships by responding professionally, following through, and supporting a positive customer experience.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with CCTV programming, intrusion programming, and fire systems, including platforms such as Genetec, Software House C-CURE, LENEL, Axis, and Bosch.
  • At least one certification in access control systems.
  • An electronics certification from an accredited technical school, equivalent military training, or a comparable technical background.
  • 10 years in the fire/security industry managing a portfolio of projects.
  • Hands-on experience designing and commissioning fire/security systems.
  • Certification or classroom training, plus experience with fiber and networks.
  • Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft programs, and databases.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate others on a job site.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for representing the company to customers and outside contacts.
  • Ability to explain technical information to non-technical people.
  • Knowledge of project accounting, costing principles, and contracting.
  • Preferred: knowledge of access control systems.
  • Preferred: experience managing costs, billings, collections, and monthly revenue and margin forecasts for project portfolios.
  • Preferred: experience coaching or mentoring fire/security technicians and systems designers on the job.
  • Preferred: experience delivering site-specific training and preparing project manuals or closeout packages.
