Description

The company has served diners and restaurants for more than 25 years, with millions of diners and over 70,000 restaurant partners.

It is part of a larger travel and booking group, and you would join a global team that also covers the group's metasearch brands.

Each employee can make a visible difference to how the work gets done.

This senior role sits on the Recruiting team. You will help hire top engineering and specialized technical people to support growth, advise senior executives with recruitment data and market insight to shape workforce plans, run high-impact hiring projects, build scalable talent acquisition processes, and raise the technical hiring bar across the company. The role mixes executive-level candidate care with hands-on sourcing and complex offer negotiation.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with senior leaders from Director up to SVP to set baseline hiring criteria, forecast headcount needs, and advise on market conditions using data.
  • Run advanced sourcing and market mapping to build strong pipelines of passive candidates in software engineering, infrastructure, data science, and research.
  • Negotiate complex offers and design competitive pay packages, supporting candidates from first contact through onboarding.
  • Create scalable hiring frameworks, standard interview scorecards, and structured evaluation methods across engineering.
  • Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in technical sourcing so pipelines stay fair and broad.
  • Coach and train junior recruiters and sourcers, setting practices and lifting the team's technical hiring quality.

Requirements

  • Have 8+ years of full-cycle technical recruiting, ideally in-house at fast-growing or enterprise technology companies.
  • Have a record of influencing senior executives with market data, pass-through rates, and pipeline health metrics.
  • Understand software engineering, infrastructure, data science, or specialized research well enough to assess talent.
  • Have handled difficult, senior-level offer negotiations and compensation structuring.
  • Be able to work hybrid, commuting to the San Francisco office 2 days per week.
  • Preferred: Have designed and launched hiring initiatives and inclusive sourcing programs within technical teams.
  • Preferred: Have built standardized interview rubrics and scalable assessment frameworks.
  • Preferred: Have mentored or formally coached talent acquisition staff and sourcers.
  • Preferred: Skilled in recruitment analytics and building dashboards to track talent acquisition performance.

Conditions

Hybrid role based in downtown San Francisco, with 2 days per week in the office for in-person collaboration.

The role is based in the United States.

Most work follows business hours, but you may need to handle calls, Slack messages, or emails outside regular hours to work with international colleagues, restaurant partners, or urgent matters. Local laws are always respected.

The office is close to the Embarcadero MUNI and BART stations.

Massachusetts law bars requiring or administering lie detector tests as a condition of employment.

  • Paid time off covering vacation, sick leave, medical leave, bereavement, floating holidays, and paid holidays, plus paid parental leave.
  • Generous vacation, a day off for your birthday, and paid volunteer time.
  • A company-wide week off each year.
  • Remote work from almost anywhere, up to 20 days in a year.
