Description

The company makes software used by 25,000+ businesses worldwide, including 85 of the Fortune 100, to improve customer experience, fight financial crime and support public safety.

Its products handle more than 120 million customer interactions and monitor 3+ billion financial transactions every day.

The company is listed on NASDAQ, has over 8,500 employees in 30+ countries, and is recognised as a market leader in AI, cloud and digital.

This role is central to the company's shift to AI-led delivery. The team is rebuilding its digital evidence platform as AI-native, with AI tools used daily from design through verification.

Responsibilities

  • Own the architecture and lead design, implementation and validation for cloud-based, multi-threaded, multi-server systems, using an AI-led method in which AI drafts code, tests and decisions while you set intent, direct the build and check the output.
  • Make technical decisions on architectural direction together with the team.
  • Make sure the architecture addresses security, scalability, compatibility and maintainability, along with responsible, evidenced use of AI at build time and run time.
  • Test your own work, fix defects and help resolve customer support cases.
  • Make sure the team follows the architectural direction and standards.
  • Mentor and coach colleagues on architecture, AI-led delivery and how to check AI output.
  • Work with Product Management during planning sessions.

Requirements

  • Solid experience developing applications in C using Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code.
  • A track record of turning complex market requirements into secure, scalable and resilient system designs.
  • Experience with multi-tenant cloud solutions.
  • Experience working in collaborative, multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience writing maintainable code and using source control such as DevOps, Git or similar.
  • Experience with unit testing, code reviews and other product quality practices.
  • Solid understanding of network security, authentication and authorisation.
  • Security best practice, including the OWASP Top 10.
  • Experience working with databases using Entity Framework or similar.
  • Good knowledge of SOLID principles.
  • Experience creating RESTful APIs and keeping them extensible.
  • Experience with Azure SQL Server, DevOps pipelines, TeamCity, GitHub and Windows services.
  • Recent hands-on use of AI tools such as Copilot, Claude Code, Codex or equivalent in your daily work, not just experiments. You can explain what worked, what did not and what you decided.
  • Experience using AI in the architect role, for design review, ADR drafting, threat modelling, contract design or similar.
  • Familiarity with AI-native patterns such as agentic workflows, evaluation harnesses, prompt-and-response evaluation and evidence packets.
  • Comfort with probabilistic systems and clear judgement about when to use AI in a high-trust domain.
  • You stay accountable for the architecture you own, whatever tools helped produce it.
  • You can get up to speed on a new AI tool or technique within days.
  • You communicate well by email, instant message, phone and video.
  • You care deeply about product quality.
  • You are a strong problem solver with a real interest in current design and development tools.
  • You know and care about process.
  • You spot chances to improve process, architecture and delivery as AI evolves.
  • You have a clear view of where AI belongs in a public-safety platform and where it does not.
  • AI expert credentials are not required. The company looks for curiosity, recent practical use, output discipline and the judgement to ship under accountability.

Conditions

Hybrid working under the company-FLEX model: 2 days in the office and 3 days remote each week, with office days focused on face-to-face collaboration.

Individual contributor role, requisition ID 11861.

The final interview stage is a working session using AI tools, assessing how you set intent, validate outputs and make decisions rather than testing memorised knowledge.

Benefits

  • Internal career moves across many roles, disciplines, domains and locations.
