Description

High blood pressure is the most common disease in the world and causes 18M deaths a year. The company builds technology that helps people manage their health so fewer lives are lost to it.

The company is a venture-backed scale-up that has raised $96M from investors in Europe and the US. Its device comes from 18 years of research at the Swiss Center for Electronics and Microtechnology (CSEM). It is a cuffless, continuous blood pressure monitor for daily use, which the company describes as the world's only medically accurate one of its kind. It is clinically validated, CE Marked as a Class IIa medical device, and sold in 12 countries. The US launch took place in July.

The company works remote-first and is headquartered in Neuchâtel, Switzerland.

UX is the top priority. This is a design leadership role covering the app's quality, the design system and the biggest product bets, from first idea to shipped result. You keep the product consistent and high quality, working with the Lead UX Writer and a Senior Product Designer. The team has many strong people who push each other, and it values speed, clarity and craft.

Responsibilities

  • Decide the design direction and quality standard for the app, covering new features, health insights and early vision work.
  • Define how success is measured for your work and take responsibility for the business results.
  • Build and maintain the design system so it works with AI tools, keeping it consistent through design tokens and documented decisions.
  • Create high-fidelity prototypes and motion with AI tools and the design system, showing ideas rather than describing them.
  • Coach, support and unblock other designers, and give them clear feedback.
  • Push product and engineering with evidence, win over stakeholders and record decisions clearly.
  • Partner with product managers and design engineers on a daily basis.
  • Improve how design works by testing better tools and processes, including AI, and fixing root causes rather than repeating manual work.

Requirements

  • Show proven design leadership and a record of delivering strong business results.
  • Bring 2 to 3 shipped case studies with high impact, each covering the problem, your hypothesis, your decisions and the measured result.
  • Demonstrate excellent visual craft in hierarchy, typography, motion and detail.
  • Provide high-fidelity prototypes and videos of your work.
  • Use AI tools every day and have worked with AI-ready design systems.
  • Be fluent in Figma, including components, variables and tokens.
  • Think in product terms, working with data, hypotheses and measurements.
  • Have a public portfolio website, which is required with your application.
  • Have experience with mobile apps, connected devices or simple prototypes in code.
  • Ideally, your background is in health, consumer, behavior change or regulated products.
  • Ideally, you build your prototypes with AI tools such as Claude or Lovable.
  • You are AI first and excited about what AI makes possible.
  • You are a builder who ships and can start something from nothing.
  • You act on your own and do not wait for a brief or need chasing.
  • You are disciplined: you work in tokens rather than screenshots and keep decision logs rather than relying on memory.
  • You are curious, want to know why, and can explain who made each decision and how.
  • You stay clear under pressure and treat medical regulation and market rules as design problems.
  • This role is probably not for you if you need all research and data before starting, measure success by screens shipped rather than outcomes, or prefer listing risks to owning one.

Conditions

The role is fully remote and open to candidates across the UK and Europe.

You report directly to the Head of Design.

You must already hold a valid visa or work permit for your country of residence, as the company cannot provide visa sponsorship.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation and an equity program, plus other benefits that depend on location.
  • Work on a mission to transform cardiovascular health at global scale.
  • Join a high-impact, fast-growing, venture-backed scale-up.
  • Work with a diverse and talented team.
