The group builds the practice management software that clinics and doctors use every day. Roughly 100 million monthly visits go to the group's sites, 25 million appointments are booked, the work spans 13 countries, and 300,000 doctors use the software.
You would join PMS Global, which is building an AI assistant into the everyday work of doctors and front desks.
Teams are organised around the people they serve: the doctor running a visit, the owner running the business, and the practice that signs up on its own.
The design team is small and still growing. As lead designer, you set the bar others work to and help the team expand.
Responsibilities
Own the design of one area of the practice management software, the tools clinics use for visits, calendars and running the business.
Set design direction for the teams working in that area and decide how it connects with the rest of the product.
Help judge whether a problem is worth solving and why, before the team decides how to solve it.
Work as an individual contributor.
Help clinics cut manual work, from documenting a visit through invoicing and payment, and help owners spot what needs attention without digging through reports.
Within 3 months: ship from your first weeks, name the outcomes your area should move and the user behaviours behind them (where staff lose time, work around the product or drop off), agree the bigger problems with product, and deliver early fixes that save front desks and doctors time.
Within 6 months: launch your first larger build with its impact measured, set direction across teams, and have other designers building on your patterns. Clinics should have less admin and fewer workarounds, doctors more time with patients and less time on screens, and owners a clearer view of the practice.
Talk to doctors, clinic owners and staff regularly, whatever project you are on.
Find friction in the user journey and in how the team works, with product and engineering, and remove it.
Balance user and business needs in billing, records and reporting, turning unclear problems into clear strategic solutions.
Use AI to clarify intent, draft short specs and spot risks and edge cases before you open a design tool.
Work with PMs and engineers from the start: set UX requirements early, stay through QA and release, and make engineering-aware decisions.
Design high-impact interfaces, from concept to polish, with excellent UI and UX for information-dense screens. Use the best tools to explore more options faster.
Prototype with Cursor and Claude Code, turning concepts into interactive prototypes and production-ready front-end code, and move between code and Figma.
Run quick tests and track funnels, adoption and retention.
Lead without managing: set direction across teams, coach designers, and turn what works into reusable patterns and practices.
Requirements
Strong UI, UX and visual design skills, with a record of building useful and pleasant experiences in data-heavy products, ideally B2B SaaS.
Clear interface copy and the ability to explain the thinking behind a design.
Enough HTML and CSS to prototype in code with AI tools and work with engineers on the front end. You do not need to be a front-end engineer.
A solid grasp of product metrics, behaviour analytics and A/B testing, with experience in Amplitude, Mixpanel or similar tools. Your portfolio shows experiments and measured results.
Deep care for product design, UX craft and the business results they drive. You take ownership and keep raising your standard.
Able to work quickly without losing quality, and to know when to dig deep and when to execute.
First-principles reasoning, clear structure, resistance to bias and attention to what matters.
Generous, supportive of the best idea, hands-on, reliable, honest and open.
Lead-level scope: you have shaped direction across several teams or products, and other designers have grown by working with you.
Proficient English.
Show examples in your portfolio if you have worked on AI features or use AI tools in your design process.
