The company is a global fashion group with several brands and ventures, and this role sits in the Commercial digital experience organisation.
You will lead the data and analytics work for one of the Commercial Areas, shaping the data roadmap, setting KPIs and delivering production-ready solutions and strategic recommendations that inform key business decisions.
You will also set the pace for delivery quality and help build a collaborative, innovative team culture across your area and beyond.
The role is a senior position in a global, cross-functional team focused on digital experiences, working with product teams, data and tech colleagues, and senior business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Advise senior business and product leaders on strategy and priorities, using insights on customer behaviour and commercial and product performance.
Define and own a data and analytics roadmap that fits organisational goals and emerging tech trends.
Lead KPI setting for your area and beyond, making sure measurement frameworks and event tracking support strategic goals.
Run high-importance analytics projects from start to finish, covering exploratory analysis, proof of concept, A/B testing, productionising, roll-out and scaling, and keep them on time and at high quality.
Solve hard business problems that have no clear solution yet, using advanced methods such as quasi-experiments when a complex roll-out rules out standard testing.
Deliver new use cases, including AI: explore large datasets, test new algorithms and prompt engineering approaches, assess model outputs, and make solutions production-ready and scalable.
Work with solution architects and data engineers on data architecture and modelling for your domain, keeping data quality, accessibility and reliability high.
Stay hands-on with SQL, Python, BigQuery, dbt, Looker and Power BI to explore, model and visualise data and communicate findings.
Lead other analysts on complex projects and mentor colleagues inside and outside your area, sharing best practice through demos, documentation and walkthroughs, including coaching on data storytelling.
Build a data-driven culture and lead the analytics Community of Practice in Commercial and across the company, encouraging shared learning and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Experience in product or business analysis, customer or commercial analytics, management consulting or data engineering, including leading complex, high-impact analytics initiatives.
Strong SQL skills and good hands-on experience with Python or R, git, dbt, and cloud analytics platforms such as GCP or Databricks.
Previous experience in ecommerce, retail, fashion or product-driven tech companies.
An academic degree in Statistics, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or a similar field, or equivalent work experience.
Expertise in data visualisation tools and techniques, such as Power BI, Tableau or Looker Studio.
Strong theoretical and applied statistics knowledge and expertise in at least one advanced analytics field, such as experimentation, quasi-experiments or backtesting.
Proven ability to take a solution from exploration through proof of concept, A/B testing, stakeholder alignment, productionising, roll-out and scaling, working independently.
Deep knowledge of data product development and a solid understanding of AI, data science and data engineering work.
A proven record of delivering innovative, impactful data and insights that drive key decisions at senior level.
Experience influencing senior stakeholders from different functions, such as Commercial Leads, eCommerce Managers, Product Managers, Developers, Designers and Data Engineers, in a large matrix organisation.
Excellent communication and data storytelling skills, with the ability to lead and influence decisions on large, key initiatives.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to build a positive, collaborative team environment, including outside your own domain.
Experience working in agile, iterative product development environments.
A proactive, ownership-driven approach, with the ability to handle ambiguity, resolve conflict constructively and build alignment across areas and stakeholders.
Curiosity to spot, explore and test emerging methods and technologies relevant to H&M, and to lead their adoption.
A strong drive for data advocacy, automation and continuous improvement, always looking for ways to raise data literacy and improve how the team works.
