  • Study complex programming specifications and produce structure charts or invocation diagrams from them.
  • Partner with technical analysts to investigate problems, find and deliver fixes, and review code when needed to estimate the effort for changes.
  • Test software against specifications and log any defects you find.
  • Help business users process business events.
  • Run simulations of how business events are processed.
  • Keep management and others informed about issues and project status.

Requirements

  • Extensive hands-on experience as an analyst with accounting or budgeting software and business processes.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including analysis, problem re-creation, and close attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little direction and to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Deep knowledge of the full application development and deployment life cycle.
  • Strong organization and follow-through to track development status, report on it, and resolve the issues uncovered.
  • Experience in a large organization with complex accounting, budgeting, procurement, and purchasing processes.
  • Proven record of developing and delivering enterprise-wide applications and coordinating their deployment.
  • Preferred: experience with FMS/3 Accounting or FMS Budgeting.
  • Also acceptable: experience with another analogous enterprise-wide management solution, such as PeopleSoft or SAP.
  • Either a bachelor's degree from an accredited college in computer science, engineering, or a related field plus four years of satisfactory full-time experience in information technology service management, process management, or operations.
  • Or a bachelor's degree from an accredited college plus eight years of satisfactory full-time experience in information technology service management, process management, or operations.
