Description

The role supports customers of the company's Charles River Development (CRD) business who use its fixed income and derivatives functionality, providing functional application technical support.

CRD builds enterprise investment management software for large institutions in institutional investment, wealth management and hedge funds. It became part of the company in 2018 and, together with the wider group, created an open front-to-back platform that launched in 2019 as the company Alpha.

You will join the team as a central support contact for fixed income and derivatives.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the central support contact for fixed income and derivatives, working with Product and Engineering to turn client needs into clear feedback and solutions.
  • Diagnose technical issues, answer support requests, and provide user guidance and training.
  • Look into complex technical problems, including those involving third-party integrations, and build and test workarounds that work.
  • Deliver high-quality client support, handling sensitive or high-impact issues professionally.
  • Follow established support procedures and help improve them over time.
  • Keep accurate records of client interactions and how issues were resolved.
  • Take on special projects and other duties as needed to meet team and organizational goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as Finance, Economics, Financial Engineering, Fintech, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of medium to advanced fixed income instruments and derivative products, and an understanding of the trade life cycle.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders, running working sessions, and gathering requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail and proven experience in process analysis.
  • Ability to set priorities, juggle multiple tasks, and work effectively in a quick-moving, client-focused environment.
  • Team-oriented and customer-focused, committed to high-quality results.
  • Preferred: an advanced degree (MBA or Master's). Highly desirable: SIE or CFA Foundations certification.
  • Preferred: 0-5 years of experience in financial technology, such as trading support, middle or back-office operations, fund accounting, or front-office trading, with exposure to Charles River IMS or similar OMS/EMS platforms.
  • Preferred: basic working knowledge of SQL.

Conditions

Annual pay range: $70,000 to $118,750.

The range applies to the primary location listed. If the role would ultimately be based outside that location, the range could be different.
