Lead Automation QA Engineer (Calypso)

Responsibilities

• Write and keep up the Master Test Strategy and detailed test plans, setting scope, objectives, entry and exit criteria, dependencies, schedules and quality gates.
• Lead System Integration Testing, regression, performance, security and position conversion testing, and support User Acceptance Testing.
• Build and improve automated test frameworks and reusable suites using the Calypso Automated Testing Tool, Selenium, JUnit and Cucumber, and run them within CI/CD pipelines.
• Direct test design and execution across front-to-back Calypso workflows, checking trade capture, pricing, risk, settlements, collateral, SWIFT messages and accounting postings.
• Arrange test environments and test data, including planning, provisioning, validation and refresh, and set up the tools for manual and automated testing.
• Coordinate SIT and UAT with technical teams, functional leads and the business testers available.
• Run defect logging, triage, severity rating, prioritisation, escalation and resolution tracking in Jira and Xray, and escalate anything that threatens test completion.
• Oversee load, stress, batch and performance testing with JMeter and LoadRunner, and coordinate OWASP-based security testing and vulnerability assessments.
• Keep requirements-to-test traceability current and confirm full test coverage.
• Produce weekly test metrics, readiness assessments and quality reports, plus test summaries, audit-ready evidence and final sign-offs.
• Report testing risks, dependencies, blockers and recommendations to project leadership.

Requirements

• Extensive experience leading QA and testing on complex Calypso implementations.
• Strong grasp of Calypso front-to-back workflows: trade capture, pricing, risk, settlements, collateral, SWIFT messaging and accounting postings.
• Experience writing and running master test strategies for large financial-services transformation programmes.
• Hands-on use of the Calypso Automated Testing Tool (CATT).
• Strong test automation skills with Selenium, JUnit and Cucumber, and experience putting automated frameworks into CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience leading SIT, regression testing and UAT support.
• Solid knowledge of test-environment coordination and test-data management.
• Experience validating position conversions and complex financial data.
• Hands-on work with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Knowledge of security testing and OWASP vulnerability assessment principles.
• Advanced skill in Jira and Xray for test and defect management.
• Experience producing test metrics, traceability reports, evidence packs and release-readiness assessments.
• Strong defect management, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Advanced English.
