This role sits within the team that verifies embedded software on real target hardware.

Responsibilities

• Own verification of embedded software running on target hardware.
• Set up, configure, and diagnose new hardware on test benches.
• Keep existing test benches and validation environments working, and fix faults in them.
• Build and improve test software, tools, and automation scripts.
• Turn manual test cases into automated ones.
• Write hardware-based and software-based tests derived from requirements.
• Help design test code and review it with colleagues.
• Find and resolve problems in software, hardware, and the test environment.

Requirements

• A BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• An MS is preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience is preferred.
• Experience testing low-level embedded software.
• Experience writing hardware-based and software-based tests from requirements.
• Experience automating manual tests.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across software, hardware, and test environments.
• Experience with test scripting and automation.
• Optional, beneficial but not required: automotive testing experience.
• Optional, beneficial but not required: Automotive Ethernet experience.
• Optional, beneficial but not required: CAN, CAN-FD, and LIN experience.
• Optional, beneficial but not required: knowledge of the ISO-14229 diagnostic standard.
• Optional, beneficial but not required: Vector CANoe or similar tools.
• Optional, beneficial but not required: Jenkins.
• Optional, beneficial but not required: Git or GitLab.
• Optional, beneficial but not required: Python automation.
• Optional, beneficial but not required: on-chip debugging tools such as Lauterbach.
• Optional, beneficial but not required: automotive hardware or PCBA-level debugging.
• Optional, beneficial but not required: vehicle-level testing and debugging.

Conditions

The role covers embedded software verification for Diagnostics, Communication, and Bootloader components, plus hardware integration into test benches, test-bench upkeep, troubleshooting, and test automation.

On-site work, 5 days per week.

Salary range: $170,000 - 180,000.

The actual salary depends on factors including location and the candidate's job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
