Kubernetes Platform Engineer / 1

Description

The company's Cloud Services group needs a Kubernetes platform engineer to help build and run a large Kubernetes environment offered as a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS).

The environment is made of several bare-metal, multi-tenant clusters with more than 18,000 pods across over 1,300 namespaces, running on over 130 physical servers.

The company is part of a global group that operates in 19 countries with over 28,000 staff. Its Polish arm provides IT consulting, infrastructure and application management, software implementation with partners such as Microsoft, SAP, Salesforce and ServiceNow, and custom software development. The group reported revenue of €2.5 billion in 2023.

Responsibilities

• Keep the platform running well by automating operations, monitoring it and measuring its performance.
• Physically move clusters and servers to a new data center without any downtime.
• Extend the platform's self-service features.
• Help internal users containerize their existing applications.
• Take an active part in designing and developing the platform.

Requirements

• Experience with Kubernetes on premises.
• Working knowledge of Prometheus.
• A solid grasp of networking.
• Expert-level Linux skills.
• Experience with Istio.
• Proficiency in Golang.
• Familiarity with Kyverno.
• Experience with GitLab CI.
• Knowledge of Python and Bash scripting.
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible.
• Familiarity with Calico.
• Experience with Azure.

Conditions

Hybrid schedule: 3 days a week in the office and 2 days working from home.

Office located in Warsaw, Poznań or Lublin.
