Description

The ITM project is building a resilient, flexible ICT infrastructure to improve continuity of business and recovery after disasters.

It replaces the legacy NS network with a modernised ITM Operational Network across the NATO Command Structure, moving from distributed networks, server rooms and local support to centralised IaaS provisioning and a central ESOC for infrastructure and service operations.

The role sits in the IVV ITM team. You will confirm that new features, requirements and bug fixes work as intended and that no new defects appear from one release to the next.

You will review what the development team delivers, accept or reject it against set criteria, and integrate it by following the installation procedure on the reference platform in NATO facilities, remotely, on site or both.

Career paths include moving into other domains or sites, choosing between a technical or leadership track, and building an international career across the wider group.

The company has an engineering team in Romania working on software and research for defence, maritime, air traffic, satellite, simulation and biometric systems.

Responsibilities

  • Build manual and automated tests for the ITM platform.
  • Write and update test cases and test data for new features and fixes, both manual and automated.
  • Run manual and automated test cases in every release phase, including enhancements and patches.
  • Investigate test failures to establish whether the cause is a bug, a faulty test platform installation, or inconsistent test data or test sheets. Share findings with the France team, agree the next steps and get the work moving again.
  • Track test progress and report on it, applying quality assurance processes that keep projects aligned with agreed standards, methods and procedures.
  • Test existing system processes and recommend improvements.
  • Meet key stakeholders to establish business system needs and requirements.
  • Carry out and report on technical and business analyses.
  • Check new software requirements and features for compatibility with current systems.
  • Keep product quality high throughout development.
  • Integrate and commission systems at NATO facilities and support project deployment.
