Description

The company is hiring an IT Security Project Manager for a growing team. The role centres on IT security and oversees infrastructure, technical operations, architecture, engineering and IT support, directly or indirectly, while working alongside international IT teams.

You will use analytical and problem-solving skills to connect complex technologies to business strategy and explain technical topics to audiences at any level. The work includes applying knowledge of data processing, hardware platforms, enterprise software, outsourced systems and system integration to build and apply technology solutions to business problems.

The role runs in a time-sensitive setting. You will set and hold your own goals and deadlines, juggle several tasks at once, and adjust priorities when needed. You will also put company-set IT integrations and initiatives into practice and support them, which can mean a flexible schedule, longer hours, and domestic and/or international travel.

The company is a supply chain solutions provider with 17,000 staff across 87 locations in more than 17 countries. It builds cloud-based e-commerce and IT platforms and automation technology for global supply chain work.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a link between staff, management, vendors and other technology resources in the organisation.
  • Represent the US IT department in client or site security audits and requests when needed.
  • Support and manage location expansions, whether in an existing building or a new one in a given area.
  • Give hands-on help across several technical disciplines when required.
  • Work with the vendor that runs the global service desk, incident and problem management, focusing on US matters. Manage on-site local resources to close gaps and fix performance issues.
  • Make sure hardware, software and database security problems are resolved promptly and efficiently, including overseeing disaster recovery and the people involved.
  • Help build strategic plans and deliver the IT objectives of the solutions group so its computing keeps pace with its growth and goals, staying aligned with global initiatives.
  • Protect the security of information systems, domains and equipment.
  • Give feedback and help carry out short- and long-term departmental goals, objectives, policies and procedures.
  • Be part of the team that handles security alerts from Defender or other tools, assessing risk and deciding on threat and remediation steps.
  • Keep US work compliant with ISMS requirements for BIMs, ISO27001, HITRUST and client-specific standards.
  • Work with the local ISO and global security teams to keep the US in line with internal and external alerts.
  • Write documentation and deliver training on security topics so staff follow ISMS and company IT policies.
  • Support the cloud, infrastructure and modern workplace pillar of IT where needed for team success in security and compliance.
  • Apply knowledge of information security to current technology issues, laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or computer science, or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 3 years in a mid-level IT role.
  • At least 1 year working in an IT environment that meets ISO27001 certification standards.
  • Preferred: experience in data security, risk management and compliance.
  • Preferred: experience with cloud-based solutions.
  • Preferred: experience with shared and outsourced solutions.
  • Preferred: experience supporting in-house information and communication systems in a multi-site client-server environment.
  • Preferred: experience with IT systems and infrastructure across multiple locations.
  • Preferred: strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferred: able to work as a team member and to lead, motivate and train others.
