Description

The company works with the US federal government across defense, national security, public safety, civilian, and military health. It is a technology company within a global firm and has more than 13,000 people.

This role manages the delivery of CSD cybersecurity and IT projects. The work covers process improvement, technology rollouts, proof-of-concept builds, new feature requests, and policy development, from initiation through close-out. You will also maintain the CSD Project Management Methodology (CPM2) and the PMO SharePoint site.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an IT project manager on CSD projects, handling every project manager duty from initiation through close-out, including planning, execution, and monitoring and controlling.
  • Review and update the CSD Project Management Methodology (CPM2) once a year.
  • Build and maintain the CSD PMO SharePoint site, automating and centralizing the CPM2 process wherever technically feasible.
  • Create and keep up project management templates, checklists, forms, and flow charts that support CPM2 and other PM functions.
  • Track project performance with results-driven metrics, and recommend changes to project resourcing.
  • Build and maintain a formal CSD PMO training program.
  • Build and sustain a near-real-time CSD PMO report covering milestones, risks and issues, project health, dependencies, and funding, using tools such as Jira, Risk Register, Power BI, and Power Automate.
  • Help build and maintain a repeatable process for a multi-year CSD strategic plan and roadmap, plus a detailed view of the current fiscal year.
  • Support PMO work with documentation such as Concept of Operations documents, metrics, and technical writing, and keep PowerPoint and SharePoint content current.
  • Issue meeting minutes for every scheduled meeting within 3 business days, and keep the master action item list.

Requirements

  • Have at least 5 years of professional IT or cybersecurity project management experience. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field lowers this to 3 years.
  • Have experience with CPM2-style project methodologies and Agile or SAFe delivery cadences.

Conditions
