Description

The team is hiring a temporary IT product and service management engineer in Getafe, Madrid, for a role placed through a temp agency.

The company is a digital business partner for its defence and space division, providing IT to the business and working in an international setting for both early-career and experienced staff.

You would act as project manager and service owner for the PDM.NET tools CMS and SNT, which support engineering processes and are used across the military aircraft programmes.

The role focuses on configuration and documentation management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full lifecycle of the CMS and SNT applications, including their functional and technical evolution.
  • Help prepare strategic digital plans, manage project budgets, and contribute to operational plans and forecasts.
  • Lead harmonisation and improvement projects across PDM systems, finding pain points and proposing business-aligned fixes.
  • Keep in regular contact with end users and hold regular reviews with key stakeholders to track progress, collect new requirements, and support decisions.
  • Work with teams that run the document management system, which is built on heavily customised IBM FileNet, and coordinate with owners of the PRIMES, Connect-Windchill and SIDIE systems to keep architecture aligned.
  • Keep the information systems of all divisions aligned to support configuration and documentation.
  • Work with subject matter experts to define requirements, write specifications, model business processes, and build business cases.
  • Find process improvements and apply Agile and digital methods that fit the overall IT strategy.
  • Lead change management for new tool deployments and manage IT contracts and subcontractors.
  • Troubleshoot issues, deliver enhancements, and monitor system performance.
  • Make sure all work meets security, export control and personal data rules.
  • Document and consolidate the information system and build an internal knowledge base.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, information systems technology or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  • 3 to 5 years of combined experience in IT product management, systems engineering or a related area.
  • Experience with Agile project methods such as SCRUM is a strong advantage.
  • Advanced English.
  • Strong programming and technical skills, especially in.NET and web application environments.
  • Proven ability to design, build and troubleshoot business process management solutions.
  • Strong leadership and the confidence to drive technical decisions and manage subcontractors.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills, with negotiation-level English.
  • A proactive, analytical approach with clear and precise decision-making.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines within a multidisciplinary team while leading change initiatives.

Conditions

Temporary contract through an agency, based in Getafe (Madrid).

The company supports flexible working arrangements where possible.

The company is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all backgrounds.

Benefits

  • Vacation days plus extra days off during the year.
  • A competitive salary.
  • Collective transport in some locations.
  • On-site facilities at some sites, including a canteen, kindergarten and medical office.
  • Opportunities to join social and corporate responsibility initiatives.
  • Upskilling opportunities and growth prospects in a multicultural setting.
