Description

This is a product management role at a sports technology company that works at the intersection of sports, media and betting. The company's technology supports more than 1,700 sports federations, media outlets, betting operators and consumer platforms in 120 countries.

You will be an execution partner across the Sports Media API portfolio, with most of your attention on U.S. sports products and content work.

You will spend most of your time on product work: setting requirements, ranking priorities, managing backlogs, sorting out product issues, coordinating delivery and taking initiatives from early research through to launch. Your scope spans several Sports Media products, not just one sport or product line.

You will help run the day-to-day product ownership of major U.S. sports APIs and related content, including the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, college sports, NASCAR and golf. You will add product capacity and subject-matter knowledge so that problems, opportunities and roadmap items get handled without depending on a single person.

Responsibilities

  • Own product roadmaps and backlogs for assigned initiatives and capabilities.
  • Turn product and content strategy into requirements, priorities, decisions and shipped improvements.
  • Work with Engineering and data collection teams to find the cause of issues, clarify requirements, set priorities and see work through to resolution.
  • Talk with customers, Support, Technical Success, Sales and other stakeholders to understand customer problems, and separate one-off requests from opportunities that can scale.
  • Spot recurring API, customer and operational issues, and turn them into improvements to product, tooling, monitoring, documentation, processes or data quality.
  • Define and track meaningful product KPIs covering usage, customer behavior, support trends, product quality and commercial performance.
  • Assess new content and third-party integrations for product fit, customer value, requirements, dependencies and implementation tradeoffs.
  • Help shape product packaging, commercialization and business cases when decisions depend on revenue, cost, customer demand or investment tradeoffs.
  • Communicate product decisions, priorities, risks, tradeoffs and status clearly to technical, commercial, operational and leadership audiences.

Requirements

  • Hands-on product management experience, including direct ownership of products, product areas or significant product initiatives.
  • Solid grasp of customer discovery, prioritization, requirements definition, roadmaps, backlog management, delivery and the product lifecycle.
  • Strong execution, and the ability to move between strategy and detailed delivery with ease.
  • Experience working closely with Engineering, data or operations teams.
  • You can work independently and make decisions when the situation is unclear.
  • Working knowledge of RESTful APIs and data-driven products.
  • Strong analytical skills, and experience using KPIs and customer signals to guide product decisions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management across functions.
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence or similar product management tools, and with agile practices.
  • Interest in sports, sports media, data products or technology-driven content is preferred.

Conditions

The company is office-first and runs a hybrid model, with team members in the office three days a week.

Base pay falls within a set range and is based on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, qualifications and location.

Benefits are subject to eligibility requirements. Your recruiter can explain the details.

Benefits

  • A comprehensive benefits package, a performance bonus program, an equity stock purchase plan and a 401k contribution.
  • A global team spread across Europe, Asia and the U.S., with social events and team-building activities.
  • Flexible working hours and room to manage your own workday and tasks.
  • A balance of structure and autonomy in day-to-day work.
  • Community groups, including Women in Tech and Pride, that are open to everyone.
  • A global employee assistance program.
  • Access to the Calm and Reulay well-being apps, which cover focus, rest, mindfulness and long-term mental resilience.
  • Online training videos.
