ISR Mission Systems Engineer

Description

The company is hiring an ISR Mission Systems Engineer in Getafe (Madrid) for its Defence and Space business, a permanent role at professional level.

You will join a team that develops ISR mission systems for several aircraft, including the C295, RPAS/UAS and A400M.

The role is technical, with no people management.

Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed system design, covering functional requirements, modelling and prototyping, subsystem specifications, interface control documents, drawings and equipment integration.
• Steer suppliers technically within a V-shaped development process.
• Support verification and validation, including laboratory validation of the product and aircraft ground and flight tests, through to full qualification and certification.

Requirements

• Expertise in ISR mission and avionics disciplines is highly valued.
• Experience with ISR missions such as maritime surveillance and patrol, anti-submarine warfare, AGS or EW is a strong plus.
• Good knowledge of mission sensors and subsystems, including optronics, radar (SAR, MPR and similar), SIGINT, ELINT, ESM, COMINT and anti-submarine sensors.
• Good knowledge of displays, navigation systems, computing platforms and transponders.
• Good knowledge of UAS and/or manned mission systems.
• Excellent knowledge of development and integration, from requirements capture to verification and validation, including safety, quality assurance and configuration control as applied to mission systems.
• Good knowledge of procurement, from selecting suppliers to monitoring and controlling them.
• Proactive, with good communication skills, assertiveness and willingness to travel.
• Strong written and spoken Spanish and English.

Conditions

Permanent contract at professional level, based in Getafe (Madrid), employed by the company Defence and Space SAU.
