International Service Engineer

The role supports vessels at sea and in port as the maritime sector moves toward greener operation and new environmental rules, which means many existing installations need upgrading.

Your workplace is anywhere in the world, and you may be called in at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, repair, troubleshoot and upgrade boilers, burners and control systems.
• Inspect boiler systems.
• Commission boiler plants and retrofit systems.
• Train crews to handle and service boiler systems.
• Provide technical support and write documentation.

Requirements

• You are inquisitive and good at finding solutions to problems.
• You like working internationally on demanding, varied challenges.
• You are committed to giving customers an excellent experience.
• You probably have an education in marine engineering or a similar field.
• You write clear reports, including standard operating procedures, and you think about safety at all times.
• You speak and write English well and understand how to work across cultures.
• Preferred: experience with boilers or field service on board vessels.
• Preferred: electrical and automation knowledge related to boiler controllers.

Conditions

Travel can total up to 160 days per year.

Candidates living in Aalborg or already established in the area are being prioritised for this role, though applicants from other locations are typically welcome.
