Description

The company is a payments and money management platform for businesses in Europe, founded in 2004. More than 250,000 companies use its all-in-one product to accept payments, manage money and grow.

The company has over 950 employees across more than 14 locations and is one of Europe's fastest-growing fintechs. The role is based in Amsterdam.

Cards is the company's main payment method and runs at global scale. It is also what lets the company win larger and more demanding merchants. The person in this role leads online cards acceptance, which is one of the highest net revenue areas in the business, and their decisions will shape how the company competes for enterprise and mid-market merchants.

As Head of Product for Cards Acquiring, you own product strategy and delivery for this payment method. You connect deep technical infrastructure with commercial work that helps sales. You lead a cross-functional team of around 20 people, including product delivery managers, a product partnership lead, a dedicated data person and a product marketing manager (PMM). Your goals are to expand cards beyond Europe, open up new merchant categories and make the offer appealing to sophisticated merchants. You will also work directly with card schemes and external partners, and your choices will affect both the roadmap and the company's market positioning.

The cards area is expected to become a bigger driver of growth over time. The online and in-person card acceptance platforms may converge, which could widen this role considerably. The company is moving quickly in a good direction.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full cards acceptance lifecycle, from technical infrastructure and processing stability to commercial enablement.
  • Lead the go-to-market strategy for new card features together with PMM and commercial teams. Turn technical capabilities into clear value propositions that sales can use.
  • Drive international expansion of the cards product so it reaches beyond Europe.
  • Find untapped merchant verticals and use data to make decisions that increase net revenue across the cards portfolio.
  • Manage, coach and grow a high-performing product team.

Requirements

  • A track record of launching successful financial or payment products. You can set pricing, positioning and packaging for features with PMM to win market share.
  • A solid understanding of direct and indirect partnership models in the payments ecosystem and what each means commercially.
  • Comfort with technical complexity. You can work through the architecture of cards acquiring, including the details of PCI compliance.
  • Experience running operations-heavy environments and building organisational structures that handle very high transaction volumes.
  • A strong drive to understand merchant pain points and build products that delight them. Customer focus is non-negotiable at the company.
  • Experience leading and developing cross-functional teams, creating a culture of high performance, accountability and psychological safety.
  • Excitement about using AI in your work. AI is central to how the team builds, moves faster and makes decisions.
  • Your CV must be in English.
