Description

The company runs a platform for private markets, serving 2,300+ GPs, with $300B+ under administration and 700,000+ LPs on it. It combines technology, data and fund administration services, and its AI platform is called JunieAI.

Founded in 2014 and led by its founder, the company has raised $350M+ and employs 1,000+ people.

The culture leans toward ownership, urgency and open debate, with transparency and feedback as defaults. The team wants people who enjoy high standards and fast growth while helping to define a new category.

Work arrangements range from fully remote to full-time in an office. Teams work across 27 U.S. states, 2 Canadian provinces, India, Luxembourg and England. Offices are in San Francisco, New York City, Mumbai and Bangalore.

This Group Product Manager role owns Dex, a new AI-native data warehouse for private markets. You will set the multi-year vision and strategy, act as the lead product voice, and build the data foundation for the company's external products and its internal fund administration work.

Dex turns scattered, document-heavy private markets data into structured, trustworthy data. The pipeline covers ingesting and parsing documents and feeds from dozens of source systems, classifying and extracting data, mapping it to a private markets data model, validating it, and delivering it to apps, agents and people. You will own the full pipeline and define how Dex supports the company's apps, AI agents and managed services.

AI fluency is expected at this level. You should be comfortable with LLMs, Cursor, Claude and similar tools, using them to work faster and decide better. Examples include directing AI agents to turn customer feedback into hypotheses, building working prototypes before writing requirements, and using coding agents to open pull requests. You should judge what gets the best result for customers and the team.

The role benefits from in-person work in San Francisco, where many product, design and engineering staff are based. The company also considers strong candidates elsewhere in the United States and Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Build Dex from an idea into a working product, bringing the energy and entrepreneurial approach a new product needs.
  • Define the multi-year vision and strategy for Dex, both as an external product and as the internal base for fund administration. Sequence the roadmap so Dex can expand to new use cases and customer types.
  • Spend real time with the GPs who rely on clean, aggregated data and with the internal fund administration team. Use what you learn to test and refine the strategy.
  • Work with engineering, design, fund administration, customer success, sales, forward-deployed AI teams and executives to agree on strategy and make sure delivery serves the business and customers. Because Dex is shared by many groups, keeping them aligned is essential.
  • Take work from discovery through delivery. Plan projects, write requirements, and explain the why and the what so builders own the how. Work with go-to-market and fund administration teams to drive adoption and realize business value.
  • Own product direction for AI features across the pipeline: agentic document ingestion, automated classification and extraction, intelligent mapping and enrichment, human review, search and retrieval, and AI-driven insights. Dex lets customers get value from data that was previously scattered and unstructured.
  • Handle the hard parts of private markets data, including inconsistent formats across administrators, unstructured documents, complex fund structures and strict accuracy requirements, and turn them into simple solutions.
  • Lead several workstreams and engineering teams. Mentor other PMs working in and near this domain, and raise product standards across the organization.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of product management experience in B2B or enterprise SaaS, with a substantial record of shipped products across the full lifecycle.
  • Proven ownership of a complex product area from strategy and roadmap through execution and iteration, ideally on a zero-to-one product.
  • Background in data warehousing, data modeling, document ingestion and extraction, ETL or ELT pipelines, and data quality and validation.
  • Experience building agentic workflows or production LLM features with rigorous evaluation and monitoring.
  • Working fluency with LLMs and AI tools such as Claude and Cursor. You can build your own prototypes and use AI to move faster than a traditional PM process allows.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, able to explain product decisions to engineers, designers, executives and customers.
  • A record of leading through influence, ideally by mentoring or managing PMs, and setting strategy that several teams carry out.

Conditions

Pay includes base salary, equity and benefits. The U.S. base range is $230,000 - $300,000 USD and the Canadian base range is $200,000 - $250,000 CAD. Final pay depends on experience, skills, location and local minimum pay rules.

Benefits

  • Health, dental and vision coverage for you and your family.
  • Life insurance.
  • Mental wellness coverage.
  • Fertility and family-building support.
  • Flex time off plus company-paid holidays.
  • Paid family, medical and bereavement leave.
  • Retirement savings plans.
  • An allowance to set up your home work space and technology.
  • An annual professional development stipend.
