Description

The company is the company, the Postgres development platform for developers. It provides a full backend: database, auth, storage, edge functions, realtime, and vector search, with all services tightly integrated and built to scale.

This is a Product Manager role on the Spark Projects team, joining the Product Team to lead a new the company project type made for how AI agents use infrastructure.

Agents now produce software at a huge rate, and each app, prototype, preview, or experiment needs a backend the moment it exists. Spark projects spin up in about a second, scale down when idle, and cost little enough to use freely, while keeping the company interface agents already know. Some will stay small and short-lived; others will grow into full the company instances. You will make Spark the default starting point for agent-built software and define how a project moves from early experiment to production workload on the company.

Responsibilities

  • Set the product strategy and roadmap for Spark, from the early MVP through general availability.
  • Make Spark easy for agents and the platforms they run on, so a backend is ready as soon as an idea is.
  • Design the path from experiment to production, covering how projects are claimed, upgraded, and grown into the full the company platform.
  • Work with Engineering, Growth, and Finance on packaging and pricing that keeps Spark affordable at very large scale.
  • Work closely with the company for Platforms customers to learn their needs and launch Spark with them first.
  • Define success, measure it end to end, and use the data to decide what to build next.

Requirements

  • You have 5+ years of product management on developer tools or infrastructure, or you are a former founder with strong product instincts.
  • You have a clear view on agent-driven development and how it changes what developers and platforms need from a backend.
  • You are comfortable with AI evals, controlled experiments, and data analysis.
  • You favor speed: you would rather ship, learn, and iterate than polish a spec.
  • You build with the product yourself and form opinions from hands-on use.
  • You use AI tools to speed up research, drafting, and feedback synthesis so you can spend your time on judgment calls.
  • You work asynchronously by default and make decisions in writing on a fully remote team.
