Description

The company is a personal injury law firm with over 6,000 employees and attorneys in all 50 states, representing people hurt by insurers, large corporations or defective products.

The product team builds the technology that clients and attorneys use, aiming for a smooth, consistent experience for people going through a very hard time.

This senior role owns the vision, strategy and delivery for one core product area. You will manage a group of Product Managers and work closely with Engineering, Design, Data and executive leadership, deciding what gets built, why, and how success is measured.

Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for the health and direction of a major product area that supports a business unit worth multiple billions of dollars.
  • You stay hands-on by writing requirements, shaping feature specs, reviewing designs and joining discovery for top-priority work.
  • Set the product vision and a multi-quarter roadmap that turns firm-wide priorities into a clear product direction, refined using data, user research and operational realities.
  • Lead, mentor and grow a team of Product Managers by setting expectations, building a high-performing culture, balancing workloads and developing each PM's skills and career path.
  • Find places where AI and automation can speed up, simplify or change client and attorney workflows across the firm, not only build new AI features.
  • Work with Engineering, Design, Data and Operations to ship on time and at high quality by clearing blockers, managing dependencies and keeping parallel workstreams moving.
  • Build trust with senior leaders and key stakeholders, present strategy, tradeoffs, priorities and progress clearly, and represent product in executive forums.
  • Define success for the area by setting leading and lagging metrics, tracking adoption and performance after launch, and iterating quickly on results.
  • Work with Operations, Legal and L&D on adoption plans so new capabilities roll out smoothly, are well communicated and keep being used.
  • Keep the team backlog healthy, balance priorities across the portfolio, flag resource constraints early and make prioritization tradeoffs visible to leadership.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional experience in Risk and Compliance environments.
  • 8+ years in product management, product operations, consulting, business integration or a related leadership role, including work in PE-backed operating environments.
  • You have led and developed teams of Product Managers or cross-functional contributors and built high-performing teams.
  • You have identified and built AI tools and automation into existing business workflows, delivering measurable efficiency and outcome gains rather than only new AI products.
  • You use AI tools daily to speed up research, analysis, writing, prioritization and decision-making.
  • You are strong with data: you define KPIs, read product analytics, run or commission user research and set priorities based on evidence.
  • You communicate clearly and influence stakeholders, presenting strategy and handling competing priorities with senior leaders.
  • You have taken complex, multi-workstream product initiatives from concept through launch and iteration.
  • You get things done, with a bias toward shipping, iterating and improving operations over process documents or theory.
  • Exposure to the legal industry and technology in law firms.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum or Kanban delivery.
  • Familiarity with enterprise legal tech platforms or case management workflows.
  • Experience in a high-growth or PE-backed organization scaling consumer or B2B products.
  • A track record of building or launching AI-native product capabilities.
