Description

The company is a global infrastructure consulting firm with over 50,000 staff and revenue of $16.1 billion in fiscal year 2025. It is a Fortune 500 firm.

The Glasgow fire engineering team blends the work of building scientists and engineers and takes on commercial, residential, and major international schemes.

You will help shape fire safety from the earliest design stages, working inside multidisciplinary teams to show architects and structural engineers how their choices affect the fire strategy and overall performance.

Work may include CFD analysis, smoke movement and smoke layer calculations, and evacuation modelling, alongside other specialist tools.

Recent team projects include a fire strategy for a 180m mixed-use residential tower in Canary Wharf, London; an evacuation strategy and CFD smoke modelling for a theatre and exhibition centre in Southport; a fire strategy for a surgery centre in Eastbourne; a fire strategy for an 11-storey office building above Liverpool Street station, built around a Crossrail ventilation shaft; a 470-seat timber framed theatre in Prescot; and retrospective fire strategies for 2 McArthurGlen outlet sites in York and Bridgend.

You will get structured training, mentoring, and support toward professional registration.

  • Present technical work clearly using suitable media, with help from the project team.
  • Complete tasks within agreed budgets, deadlines, and quality standards.
