Full Stack Java/Angular Developer - Assistant Vice President

This is an intermediate, AVP-level role. You will help establish and roll out new or revised application systems and programs, with the main goal of supporting applications systems analysis and programming.

Responsibilities

• Take part in feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, technology risk work, and applications and model development.
• Help set up new or changed application systems and programs that meet specific business needs or user areas.
• Oversee every stage of development, from analysis and design through build, testing and rollout.
• Provide user and operational support on applications to business users.
• Apply deep applications development expertise to complex problems, assess business processes, system processes and industry standards, and make sound evaluative judgements.
• Propose and build security measures during post-implementation reviews of how the business uses a system, so the design and functionality hold up.
• Consult with users, clients and other technology groups on issues, recommend advanced programming solutions, and install and support customer-facing systems.
• Make sure essential procedures are followed, and help define operating standards and processes.
• Advise or coach newer or more junior analysts.
• Work with limited direct supervision, using independent judgement and autonomy.
• Act as subject matter expert for senior stakeholders and or other team members.
• Assess risk in business decisions with attention to the firm's reputation and to protecting the company, its clients and assets. Drive compliance with laws, rules, regulations and policy, apply sound ethical judgement to conduct and business practice, and escalate, manage and report control issues openly.

Requirements

• Recommended: 5-8 years of relevant experience.
• Recommended: Experience with Java, Angular, Python and SQL.
• Recommended: Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps activities.
• Recommended: Exposure to AI tools such as GitHub Copilot.
• Recommended: Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications.
• Recommended: Experience managing and delivering projects successfully.
• Recommended: Working knowledge of consulting and project management techniques and methods.
• Recommended: Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or sudden changes in expectations or requirements.
• Bachelor's degree or university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Conditions

Full time.

Pay range for the primary location: $94,300.00 - $141,500.00.
