Senior Software Engineer (Editor)

Description

You would be a senior frontend engineer on the team behind the editor, the creative core of the company's platform.

The company is an AI-powered advertising technology business. Its platform covers media, creative and intelligence, powers more than 800 billion impressions and generates over 300 billion creatives a year.

The editor lets customers design, animate and scale millions of image, video and HTML template assets.

The Helsinki-based squad solves hard frontend problems so that large global brands can turn one design into a worldwide campaign, using complex state management and canvas-based interactions. The team relies mainly on React and TypeScript while staying open to other tools.

The company serves 700+ brands and manages $6B in ad spend across Facebook, Google, Instagram, Pinterest, Snap and TikTok. Forrester has named it a Leader in its Creative Advertising Technologies Wave, and PwC has validated its results.

Hiring runs in four steps: a recruiter conversation, a meeting with the team lead, technical interviews with a coding exercise and a systems design and architecture discussion, and a final meeting with the VP of Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own vertical slices of the editor from design through to deployment, end to end.
• Break complex work into the smallest increments that deliver customer value quickly.
• Work closely with Product and UX to turn complicated requirements into well-designed, well-built software.
• Make key technical decisions and trade-offs, weighing long-term architecture against near-term product needs.
• Contribute at core level to the Creative Engineering Group, keeping the frontend and core packages fast and scalable.
• Mentor others and guide the team technically through useful code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Move projects forward on your own initiative, clearing blockers as they come up.

Requirements

• At least 6 years building robust, complex web applications, with strong frontend skills.
• Deep expertise in React and TypeScript, including state management and performance tuning.
• A track record of running projects independently, staying persistent and self-directed when technical problems get hard.
• A drive to excel and to keep growing.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Analytical ability to turn a broad product vision into concrete technical tasks.
• Motivation to solve customer problems and deliver value at pace.

Conditions

Hybrid role: you split your time between the Helsinki office and remote work, with 3 days a week in the office.

You may work abroad for up to 30 days.
