Description

The company is building high-quality software experiences, and this role covers analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of them.

You will work on your own initiative, collaborating with your team and with people across the organization.

You own the software you produce, following company standards so that changes have minimal effect on customers.

The team works in agile and applies DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, run and maintain products.
  • Own features end to end by writing production-ready, testable code.
  • Create sound technical designs that follow architecture best practices and account for scalability, reliability and performance of the systems affected.
  • Investigate failures, propose design changes and push for operational improvements.
  • Make design and coding decisions with the customer experience as the priority.
  • Act on code review feedback and update your work to meet standards.
  • Review other engineers' code, advising on engineering best practices and development procedures.
  • Make sure all product development meets compliance and security best practices.
  • Build reliability engineering standards into everyday development standards.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and help shape best practices as the bank modernizes its technology.
  • Help build a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Assess tasks critically, prioritize them and size them for incremental delivery; flag blockers and delays early, before they need escalating.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 to 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Expert-level React (18.x), JavaScript (ES6+) and modern front-end development.
  • Experience building scalable enterprise web applications with micro frontends and Module Federation.
  • Strong HTML, CSS/SCSS, CSS Modules, responsive design and reusable UI components.
  • Experience managing state with Zustand, React Context and asynchronous data handling.
  • Skilled at integrating REST APIs, web services and third-party platforms with Axios.
  • Knowledge of authentication, MFA integration and front-end security practices.
  • Experience building accessible, WCAG-compliant, internationalized and localized applications.
  • Hands-on use of Jest, React Testing Library and Playwright for automated testing.
  • Proficient with Git and CI/CD pipelines for deploying code.
  • Familiarity with financial applications, payment systems (ACH, RTP, wire transfers) and Java/Spring Boot environments.
  • Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Knowledge of AI functions.
