Senior iOS UI Engineer

Description

The company runs a loyalty program platform and payments software for restaurants, plus a consumer app that helps diners feel like VIPs wherever they eat. Launched in 2022, it is backed by Union Square Ventures, a16z, Amex Ventures and Variant Fund.

The team bridges design and engineering to turn visual concepts into polished, working iOS interfaces for users.

Responsibilities

• Work with UX and UI designers to shape and build new interface designs.
• Build responsive, intuitive screens using Swift, UIKit, SwiftUI and current iOS technologies.
• Improve interface performance on every iOS device.
• Take part in the full development cycle, from first concept to release, building sturdy, scalable solutions.

Requirements

• Strong portfolio covering a varied set of projects.
• Have shipped and maintained at least one app on the App Store.
• Deep skill in Swift, UIKit, SwiftUI and Cocoa Touch.
• Experience with Core Animation and Metal shaders.
• Track record of delivering high-quality work with smooth user experiences.
• Solid grasp of design principles and how to encode them in design systems.
• Understanding of sound app architecture and how to keep it sound as the codebase grows.
• Strong problem-solving skills and close attention to detail.
• Preferred: Experience with mobile payment solutions and digital wallets.
• Preferred: Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on willingness to get the job done.
• Preferred: Interest in using technology to change the dining experience through payment products.
• Preferred: Experience with or interest in blockchain technology and restaurants.

Conditions

Target annual salary is $180,000-$220,000 USD, depending on work location and experience, disclosed under New York City's Pay Transparency Law.
