Description

The team sits in the company's finance technology group, which is rebuilding the finance engine to be more trustworthy, adaptable and insight-driven.

The group covers four areas: Forecasting and Resiliency for decision support, Treasury and Trade for cash and investment lifecycles, Accounting and Reporting for general ledger accuracy and regulatory obligations, and Data and Core, which handles orchestration, sourcing and pipelines for critical financial data products.

The work supports the company's finance organization and the wider enterprise in running efficiently, with high-fidelity tracking and reporting behind every business process.

You will build full-stack software in an iterative, collaborative setting, using open source frameworks and newer technologies to drive a major transformation of the company's finance systems.

  • Work with digital product managers to deliver resilient cloud-based solutions that give millions of Americans better tools for financial empowerment.
  • Stay current on technology trends, test and learn new tools, take part in internal and external technology communities, and mentor engineers.
  • Build with Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, open source relational and NoSQL databases, Docker and Kubernetes container orchestration, and a range of AWS services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a related quantitative field such as statistics, economics, operations research, analytics, mathematics or engineering.
  • At least 6 years of software engineering experience. Internships do not count.
