As a Java Full Stack Developer, you will develop and enhance the core pre-trade technology that supports the Rates Flow business, using modern React and TypeScript alongside Java-based services. Based in New York, you will partner with engineers and business stakeholders across the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, and India to deliver scalable solutions and improve platform stability and performance. You will combine hands-on development with technical leadership, helping shape engineering standards while mentoring other developers.

Responsibilities

  • Drive full-stack solution design and contribute to the migration of legacy desktop or web interfaces to modern React and TypeScript frameworks, influencing UI/UX strategy and modern tooling adoption
  • Ensure solutions align with department and domain architecture strategies while championing distributed-systems design, testing, CI/CD, code quality, and effective code reviews
  • Participate in Level 3 production support, investigating root causes and implementing effective fixes for production issues
  • Contribute to the modernization and strategic direction of the fixed-income technology stack, including adoption of modern build tools, frameworks, containerization, and orchestration platforms
  • How You’ll Lead
  • Drive technical delivery across teams and provide hands-on guidance and mentoring to junior developers
  • Build effective relationships with business and product stakeholders, translating requirements into practical technology solutions
  • Collaborate with global Engineering leads to align delivery, architecture, and development standards

Requirements

  • Expertise building complex, high-performance web applications using React and TypeScript, including component lifecycles, advanced state management, browser rendering performance, memory profiling, Vite, Nx, and Playwright
  • Strong understanding of distributed-system design and event-driven architectures, including Solace, Kafka, or RabbitMQ, WebSockets, server-sent events, Rx, SQL, relational database design, Kubernetes, and production deployment practices
  • Experience leading development delivery and promoting engineering excellence through test automation, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, architectural decision-making, and guidance to other engineers
  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and optimize workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs undefined
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform, OpenShift, or another public cloud platform
  • Strong communication and collaborative problem-solving skills
  • Experience with test frameworks, test planning, and test execution for distributed systems
