The role focuses on full-stack software engineering with open source frameworks and newer technologies, and it sits at the centre of a major transformation across the company.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical direction across Agile teams and set standards for design, development and operational excellence.
  • Work with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns and reusable frameworks.
  • Find areas to improve, refactor where needed, and contribute to work that reduces technical debt and improves system performance.
  • Shape long-term technology strategy by evaluating new tools and practices, in a team where you build it and you own it.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of software engineering experience. Internships do not count.

  • Preferred: 1+ year mentoring engineers and supporting their professional development.
  • Preferred: 1+ year using observability to find and remove performance bottlenecks in distributed systems.
  • Preferred: experience with interactive AI tools for productivity beyond basic code completion.
  • Preferred: experience leading cross-functional engineering efforts or large technical initiatives.
  • Preferred: experience setting and enforcing coding standards and design patterns across teams.
