Description

The company is a healthcare and diagnostics business with over 100,000 employees worldwide, working to advance science and make healthcare accessible.

This SE7 Full Stack Developer role sits in the RDT Engineering Excellence & Experience organization. You will act as a technical leader, innovator and owner of the backlog, improving the developer experience for thousands of engineers around the world.

You will own the integration portfolio and the Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) ecosystem, including RETINA/Codebeamer, Jira and Confluence and similar tools. The work covers connecting the toolchain, exploring applied AI and MCP, moving off legacy platforms and leading strong engineering teams, all within GxP, code quality and cybersecurity standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the integration layers between tools in the EEx (Engineering Experience) product area.
  • Own and grow a business-critical set of internal integration products, such as OpsHub, MCP Synapse, T-REX, Allure Importer, TDG Importer, Reports4Diait and RAO.
  • Build secure, resilient links across the engineering toolchain, including RETINA, Jira, Tosca, ADO, Aha!, GitLab and GitHub, using tools like OpsHub and OpenPDM, serving more than 6,000 concurrent users worldwide.
  • Keep finding and recommending leading integration tools, and adopt those that make developer workflows smoother end to end.
  • Help shape and rank the integrations backlog as technical product owner, and answer for delivering it.
  • Plan and carry out the shutdown of legacy ecosystems such as WebIT, moving their work to modern architectures without disrupting the business.
  • Design integration layers, such as those between RETINA and CIDM, aligning IT and business stakeholders on large migrations affecting over 30,000 users and thousands of active projects.
  • Find and remove technical debt, scaling limits and operational blockers that slow digital product delivery.
  • Design, build and maintain enterprise Model Context Protocol (MCP) layers, such as MCP Synapse, across ALM and other tools, working with central enterprise AI and integration teams including MuleSoft and LUMIN.
  • Build scalable, easy-to-maintain automation engines, such as T-REX, for test imports, data handling and operational workflows, cutting manual engineering effort.
  • When needed, work directly with Global Procurement and Legal on formal vendor RFPs, assess external vendors and tie integration strategy to vendor choices.
  • Improve enterprise software licensing across the integration ecosystem to reduce cost.
  • Set and enforce company-wide standards for code quality, cybersecurity, CI/CD, containerization and software validation in strictly regulated GxP environments.
  • Encourage a high-performance, collaborative engineering culture across global tech hubs.

Requirements

  • Proven record leading Medium to Large (M/L) cross-functional technical initiatives at product level.
  • Hands-on experience running complex enterprise integrations across varied tools, preferably in GxP environments, and leading legacy migrations involving thousands of users.
  • Experience shaping and prioritizing an integrations backlog and owning its delivery.
  • Experience working with procurement and legal on enterprise RFPs, contract negotiation and cost optimization.
  • Deep, hands-on skills in Python, Java and JavaScript, plus modern full-stack frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Codebeamer (RETINA), OpsHub, Tosca, Azure DevOps, Aha!, GitLab and GitHub.
  • Practical experience creating and validating MCP, AI agent workflows or agentic automation frameworks.
  • Solid grasp of the Infrastructure Delivery Lifecycle, container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes), CI/CD automation and software validation under a strict GxP framework.
  • Proven ability to tune performance, manage load and keep multi-tenant enterprise platforms highly available.
  • Strong negotiation skills to work through complex organizations, align engineering efforts and reach win-win outcomes.
  • Ability to spot future technical trends, reduce risk early and help set the organization's long-term technical direction.
