Frontend Developer - Senior

This senior frontend role centres on building and maintaining intuitive, high-performing user interfaces for enterprise applications.

You will also mentor others, improve how the team works, and collaborate across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and build user interfaces, then keep them running well.
• Turn designs and business needs into scalable frontend code.
• Build reusable UI components.
• Improve application performance and monitor it over time.
• Make interfaces accessible and compatible across platforms.
• Apply application design and development across several technology areas.
• Configure software products and systems to deploy code.
• Build product and platform prototypes.
• Work with your project team to solve hard problems.
• Apply secure software development practices.
• Mentor developers and lead frontend best-practice efforts.

Requirements

• US citizen with active TS/SCI with CI poly.
• Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, or similar.
• Skilled in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript or TypeScript, and responsive design.
• Experience connecting frontend apps to RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards, performance tuning, and secure coding.
• Experience with Git, automated testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with an in-house custom application that has an end-user UI and an ETL UI.
• Hands-on use of Kubernetes, Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and JFrog Artifactory.
• Working knowledge of AWS cloud services.
• Frontend and backend or middleware work with Angular and.NET C.
• Database work with MySQL, Postgres, or Microsoft SQL.
• Elasticsearch or OpenSearch experience.
• Integrating reasoning components, retrieval systems, databases, and AI / GenAI services.
• ETL work with Python, RabbitMQ, Celery, and Redis or Valkey.
• Complex data parsing and fast ingestion.
• Tracking provenance and end-to-end data lineage.
• Schema-aligned ingestion and normalization of structured and unstructured data.
• Experience supporting cloud-native and containerized environments.
• Knowledge of micro-frontend architectures and modern frontend patterns.
• Experience with design systems and component libraries.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps and Agile methods.
• Experience mentoring developers and leading frontend best-practice work.
• Relevant certifications in web development, cloud platforms, or secure software development.

Conditions

Local law requires a base pay range for this role in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and that range is $94,000 to $187,600 USD.

Actual pay depends on office location, role, skill set, and experience.
