Data Scientist

Description

The company is a technology firm within global Accenture that works with the US federal government across defense, national security, public safety, civilian, and military health. More than 13,000 people do this work.

You will help analyze, build, and keep up the data architecture for all program data systems. The role centers on designing, running, and managing how data is transformed, sorted, and labeled so it moves smoothly across several security domains and systems. The work involves databases, cloud architecture, and compliant data standards.

Responsibilities

• Work with cross-functional teams to turn complex technical ideas into clear, usable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Analyze and design program data architecture that fits organizational goals and follows data and labeling standards.
• Build, roll out, and maintain reliable pipelines for multiple data formats and interfaces, supporting database engineering work.
• Tune data processing workflows so high-speed operations run efficiently across several security domains and systems.
• Use APIs to query systems and carry out data ETL and migrations.
• Write operational data pipelines in Python, JavaScript, or Java.

Requirements

• Background in database analysis, data modeling, and architecture.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL database systems.
• Experience with cloud architecture and cloud databases, as both a developer and an administrator.
• Experience using APIs for data queries and migration.
• Experience in at least one of Python, JavaScript, or Java.
• Track record building and keeping up operational data pipelines.
• Preferred: Experience with geospatial data enterprise solutions and multiple data formats.
• Preferred: Experience applying Scaled Agile Framework for Enterprise (SAFe) processes, standards, and tools.
• Preferred: Ability to build dynamic visualizations that track pipeline performance, including availability, currency, and volumetrics.

Conditions

TS/SCI clearance or higher is required.

The base pay range for roles in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia is $120,400 - $234,700 USD.

Ranges are set using local labor costs, as local law requires, and pay varies by office location, role, skill set, and experience.
