Front-End Developer - Amsterdam

Description

The role sits in the Sales Flow team, where you own the Commodity purchase flow: the journey in which customers configure and sign up for energy products on the company's Dutch consumer website and related channels.

You will work with product, UX and back-end colleagues to ship reliable, scalable sales experiences that convert well.

You join a scrum team in the middle of an architecture change, moving from declarative flow configuration to a central orchestrator, with Commodity being pulled out into its own feature library. Sustainability flows such as solar, heat pumps and insulation are integrated but owned by another team, so your focus stays on the core energy purchase.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the Commodity purchase flow in Angular, covering product configuration, multi-step forms and order submission, and improve it over time.
• Build and support a standalone Angular application and Angular web components embedded in EPiServer CMS pages.
• Connect the flow to back-end services for product selection, offers, leads, address lookup, usage estimates and order APIs.
• Help run data-driven experiments to improve the sales funnel by setting up new A/B tests in VWO using feature flags.
• Write unit tests and work with the QA colleague on Cypress end-to-end regression tests. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and releases across dev, tst, acc and prd.
• Take part in several AI initiatives with the core AI / Nina team.
• Help set front-end standards in the Nx monorepo, including design system adoption and the move to Tailwind.
• Work with UX, platform and back-end teams on API contracts, performance, accessibility and production support.
• Question requirements and turn them into solutions that are technically feasible and easy to maintain.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Angular (v20+), TypeScript, SCSS, HTML5 and RxJS/Signals.
• Experience with, or strong interest in, building code with AI tools.
• Experience with state management such as NGXS, plus REST and BFF integration patterns.
• Experience with unit testing in Jest or Vitest and end-to-end testing in Cypress.
• Familiarity with web components built on/elements and with lazy-loaded routing.
• Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD, Nx monorepos and trunk-based Git workflows.
• Understanding of Azure Cloud and REST-based architectures.
• Experience with analytics tagging (Relay, Adobe) and A/B testing tools such as VWO is a plus.
• A customer-focused mindset and clear communication with non-technical stakeholders.
• A structured, proactive approach with care for quality, continuous improvement and reliable delivery in production-critical flows.
• Professional working proficiency in English and Dutch is required.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field.
